LCHF Diet
One of my doctors had advised the below. I am confused. Low Carb High Fat diet is not recommended for Diabetics. Our body needs continuous energy which can be easily available only from carbohydrates. A high fat diet in the long run can raise ketones levels in the blood and cause Keto Acidosis in

I’ll say it again - if you never consumed a single gram of carbohydrate again, you would live a normal lifespan. So I have to make

Sugar in urine
I have just been to see my GP after suffering from a urine infection. She has said that the infection is still there and also there is +4 sugar in my urine. I am a type 1 diabetic. Would this mean that ketones are present in my urine?

Baloo the Bear.
Here's a rather inspiring story. But before reading it should be emphasised that this person was diagnosed as a T1 diabetic, where there is NO insulin present with a non functioning pancreas. If anything his story should inspire you as a T2, as in all likelihood your pancreas can be returned to functionality

Foods/Supplements-Vitamins: Low-Carbohydrate Diets
Typically, a low-carb diet will be high in fats. There is no obvious reason to compensate with higher levels of protein. Ansel Keys fudged his data in the 1950's (the Seven Countries Study) to implicate saturated animal fat in cardiovascular disease. What followed was the dominance of corn oil & other

High Eosinophils
Hey Everyone, I'm still not doing that well after my hospital stay. Having a hard time with bg crashing/eating and so on. Last night it was as if my stomach bug returned. My bg went to 250, ketones high again and I was very nauseated/runs with sore stomach after dinner. I managed to get it under control
