Bun creatine ratio
Just a question, on lab work my Bun alone is within range, my creatine alone is within range, but my ratio is high. My GFR has been about 105. Should I be concerned? Also can Ketones in urine test cause protein to leak?

High fat ketogenic diet envisioned as potential life-saving therapy to combat low platelets in cancer patients

Low blood sugar and thyroid connected?
Hi everyone. This afternoon I went to hospital to have a hernia surgery wound dressed. I arrived with the shakes (noticeable in my hands). I missed lunch today. The nurse did a finger prick blood test and it was 3.5 mmol/L. She wouldn't let me leave until it was above 4 at least (she gave me biscuits

GP doesn’t know where to send me.
I’m having a massive Mast Cell attack effecting my Kidneys and bladder. No signs of infection but Urinalysis show Ketones, protein and White blood cells. The pain is constant and becoming unbearable. I’ve frown all my medication at it but nothing. GP really doesn’t know what to do with me, other than

Scot inhibition study
This looks like a potential breakthrough. Apparently the ketones from fasting have a different behaviour on cancer than the ketones from a diet. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/361285226_Inhibition_of_SCOT_and_Ketolysis_Decreases_Tumor_Growth_and_Inflammation_in_the_Lewis_Cancer_Model

Can Ketone Esters provide Ketones without a Ketone diet?
Back in 2013, Dr. Mary Newport gave a Ted talk on her re-discovery of MCT oil (she'd been aware of it for several years). In short, it greatly helped her husband with AZ. More recently, Ketone Esters are said to be even more potent than MCT oil. This video is from Dr Newport's talk. I've started looking

CHAPTER 6.THE SEARCH FOR HOPE "OUTSIDE" THE BUBBLE: OTHER NEUROLOGISTS, OTHER MEDICINES, OTHER DISEASES...
Explanation: I would like to share this chapter with all of you. Because of a worsening in my mother's health, I don't know when I will be able to resume the English translation of my book on curing Parkinson's. I will be sharing some chapters in this extraordinary forum. I have to stop my investigation

Hi everyone. I wrote a post a couple of weeks ago about my husband going to the Nephrologist for the first time. At the consultation, his Nephrologist was pretty optimistic but also concerned with the microhematuria. We both know something is going on but it's becoming clear that getting a proper diagnosis

How to Increase BDNF
So somebody over on FB posted they were taking BDNF for PD anxiety (or maybe just for anxiety) so I Googled and found BDNF = Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor and BDNF supplements do not contain Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor. But I did find this article on strongcoffee.com. https://strongcoffeecompany.com

Update and first time referral to a neph...
Hi everyone, This is my second post. My first post, my husband had been leaking protein and was told it would go away. A year later, he still has it. Now he's being referred to a Nephrologist for the first time. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on what to ask? He's not diabetic and his blood

Damn, how do I lose weight?
Two weeks of one meal per day and no weight loss. I use urinalysis strips which show no sugar in urine , so no diabetes, no blood so no bladder or prostate infection, no urobilinogen and no bilirubin so no liver disease, normal specific gravity so probably no diabetes insipidus, no protein which

Insulin & glucose in Parkinson's / Ketogenic lifestyle
hi, I am finding that the effect of glucose or insulin has quite an effect on mobility. Before, it seemed that protein alone would interfere with L-Dopa. Now it's not only that, but post-prandial somnolence that can lay me down for hours. Come the next day, I can pretty much lead a "normal" day (with

Total flare up. Need support & a few questions
Hey everyone. Today has been the worst flare up day I’ve had In months, so be easy on me. I’m trying to figure out why I am flaring up and why my symptoms are the worst they’ve been. A little context, (I’ll put my labs attached as well). But I already eat the cleanest I possibly can. I stay away from
