I had a
hysterectomy
in June removing 20cm tumor Grade 3 and other organs. This has been followed by chemotherapy, and I today finished 4th cycle out of 6 of carboplatin / taxol. CA-25 has gradually dropped to 18 from high in the 400s.

Recovery time after partial hysterectomy
I am due to have a partial
hysterectomy
which will be keyhole and wondered how long the recovery may be. I know everyone is different but if anyone has any experience they would share of the operation and recovery, it would be appreciated. I’m starting to get nervous as the procedure approaches.

What side effects have you had if you've stopped taking tibolone?
I have finally got a date for my surgery;
hysterectomy
, both ovaries and endometrioma removed, endometriosis removed, possible bowel resection and possible ureteric stent - 15th September. After waiting for 12 months.

Planned Hysterectomy - Starting to Panic
Its not the never being pregnant that's scaring me, or having to go back in for surgery (although that does come close), but the side effects of having a
hysterectomy
. I have heard of so many horror stories.

Newbie looking for advice
Hi, recently been told I am border line underactive, doctor said my levels arent high enough yet for medication, especially as I don't yet have many symptoms apart from weight gain, constipation (was told it was ibs years ago), loss of libido (blamed the
hysterectomy
and hrt).

Effect of hysterectomy & HRT on thyroid
Can anyone let me know how
hysterectomy
(conserving ovaries) and HRT (Tibilone) would effect my thyroid function? Just had bloods back (done am before food & dose for the day) and free t4 & free t3 now above reference range.

Is my panic negating the anesthetics?
Sadly my sister spent 3 days in a hospital after a
hysterectomy
. She had the same response. Even with massive tranquilizers she did not sleep that entire time. Has anyone else experienced a change in their medications efficacy due to anxiety or depression?

Switching from Tibolone to standard HRT
I then had a
hysterectomy
, so I am now moving from the Tibolone (which I’ve read helps your body to make oestrogen/progesterone) onto an oestrogen/progesterone patch (which gives your body the hormones). The doctor said to start using the patch and keep on the Tibolone but start weaning off it.

Waiting for a biopsy...
In last few years I have had a massive fibroid growing outside my womb which meant I had a total
hysterectomy
to remove what bits weren't removed the first time. On top of this I had to have surgery to repair a hiatus hernia and stop acid reflux! So each time I think great! Done! Sorted!

Life Post Hysterectomy
So I had an abdominal
hysterectomy
with oophorectomy on the 1st of July. I am 6 weeks post-op. Pain on or around the wound is much better though its still a bit sore and hurts if Im sitting too long. Endopain is gone so far 🤞🤞 Struggling big time with energy levels.

Prostap how will it effect me?
Hi everyone, after my most recent appointment my consultant has requested that I try prostap injections for 6 months and then he will put me on a list for a
hysterectomy
if my endo pain and bleeding returns. My main question is how has everyone been after having these injections?

Any advise please!
Hi all, At the beginning of July I had surgery to hopefully remove what they thought was endo but turned out I have adenomyosis and no endo so
hysterectomy
is on cards. Anyway I was fitted the coil.

Sertraline for menopause
I was diagnosed with a borderline tumour in June 21 following a total abdominal
hysterectomy
. My consultant doesn't want me to take oestrogen so HRT is out of equation. My GP has prescribed Sertraline for flushes. I started them today and have had nausea and a little bit of running to loo.
