Any advise please!

Hi all,

At the beginning of July I had surgery to hopefully remove what they thought was endo but turned out I have adenomyosis and no endo so hysterectomy is on cards. Anyway I was fitted the coil. For the last month now I’ve been bloated every single day I’m having to up a dress size, I’m losing watery discharge (sorry tmi) but too the extent of my pants are wet! I’ve been having pains in pelvis but also shooting pains in left groin and a dull ache that comes in my kidneys.

Last month the gp done a swab which apparently came back fine but now this is on going I’ve demanded a face to face all of a sudden they’re saying that my swab wasn’t normal and sent antibiotics to my pharmacist. But I want another swab to be sure as I was. Told by 3 people to start with that this swab was fine now suddenly it’s not? Does this sound strange to you? I’ve had ovarian cysts before and these symptoms are similar or anyone else have any suggestions?

Hi! Sorry you're suffering... Did they say what the swap showed - I'd want to know what they found to be sending antibiotics to be taken. It could be an infection following the surgery, and would be best to know for sure either way.

Also, did someone check your coil was in the right place around 6 weeks after it was placed? It should have been checked, and you should be shown how to check the strings at this time as well. You can get pain like this is its not sitting right.

Hi

Sorry to read this

Its all soo frustrating

Sounds quite similar to myself

Ive got to wear a pant liner every day due to wetness which is like a brown/blood discharge

I had swabs done and they came back fine then i got a call to say i needed antibiotics as something did show on the swab

Few weeks later i was sent for ultrasound which showed 10cm ovarian cyst on my left side

I then got refered to gyn hosp he said i needed an op to remove this

I went for a ct scan and now been told ive several masses on my pelvis

Had a mri scan which shows significant endiometrosis with deep scarring and adhesions the endiometrosis is around my womb and bowel

This is as far as ive got atm

Im still in severe pain

Im still wearing endless panliners

Not sure if any of this is of any use to u

I have been offered the coil but ive declined as ive been suffering all this time

Hope u get answers

No way sorry to hear that hope you get it sorted! I’m adamant I’ve got a cyst maybe I’ll call and demand an ultrasound?
