Hi thank you for taking time to read, I really need some help.Hi I’m 39, in October 2019 I had my Mariana coil removed after having it continuously for over 20 years between my 3 baby’s, this is when everything went down hill.

I ended up in Hospital Jan 2020 with excruciating pain consistently, to say I was messed about is an understatement, fast forward 5 months I found out I was pregnant in the height of the pandemic, because of the medication I was on for the pain they got me in for a scan, all looked ok but a few weeks later I had pain again so I was back at hospital alone as my husband wasn’t allowed in, to have another scan, my baby heart had stopped :( I’d suffered a missed miscarriage my baby wouldn’t come out naturally they left me 8 weeks knowing he wasn’t coming out naturally before they offered me a D&C . that was the most awful 8 wks of my life.

2 months after they got me in for a laparoscopy as I was basically bed bound with the pain, surgeon said I was riddled with fibroids which he removed best he could, but said he couldn’t see any endometriosis.

After nothing changed pain was still the same, so consultant put me on prostap and said if it works a hysterectomy will help me, the first 4 months were amazing I felt like I was getting my life back, but after my 5th injection my back, hips, legs & bladder all started with awful pain, I was on Tibilone (not sure I spelt it right) hrt, my consultant changed me to the patches instead.

I’ve just had my 6th injection so contacted the consultants receptionist to see when my appointment will be and she said if I’m getting pain the hysterectomy won’t do anything, so basically I’ve been through menopause hell for nothing and I’m just going to be left like this forever I can’t take much more.

I don’t know what to do now, if anyone could advise anything or has had similar experiences pls could you help me?

Hi, I was on diagnostic zoladex and the first few were amazing however after I was put on Tibilone due to the menopausal symptoms I did start to get some pain back, nothing on the scale of before but still pain none the less. I spoke to my consultant who said it was due to the hormones as they aggravate endo. I’m booked in for a full hysterectomy in 5 weeks and I can not wait! I would suggest making an appointment to speak to your consultant or an endo nurse as they will know more than a receptionist.

Good luck and hope you get sorted soon x

Hi Catd81, thank you so much for your message, I’ve felt like I’m going crazy because the pain I’m feeling is really but feel like no one is listening. It’s not the same pain I had before my injections it’s a different pain that is impacting on my life, feel like I’ve gone through the hell of prostrap for nothing, the thought of going back to the pain before my injections scares the hell out of me.

Good luck with your hysterectomy, I hope it gives you the relief you need 💗.
