Having a Bad Day
I’ve asked to have a
hysterectomy
six times and counting. I’ve been told: “you’re too young, you might want kids”. “You’re too young you don’t want to be on HRT”. “You’ve got too much scar tissue because of the previous operations”.

Broken and Lost - awaiting urgent hysterectomy at 34
My surgeon phoned for an over the phone consult (thanks covid) if you know my story I’ve been waiting since 2017 for a
hysterectomy
due to stage 4 or as I call it decimated stage Endo. I haven’t even met him in person since I was ‘urgently’ referred Nov 19!

Advice on open surgery
Hi ladies, I have had an MRI scan that showed extensive endometriosis… without going into too much detail, basically everything is stuck together; ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus with adhesions to the bowels… ☹️ I’ve been told at 45 it’s best to just have a full
hysterectomy

Mirena for heavy periods
I was prescribed tranexamic acid to control the heavy periods, before this, and it was working well to a degree, but I was told that I needed to either get the Mirena coil or have a
hysterectomy
, and I felt somewhat pressured into getting it.

laparoscopy findings-what’s your thoughts?
I was referred back to the gynaecologist who then said I probably needed a
hysterectomy
and referred me to another consultant gynaecologist. After seeing that consultant she was concerned I had stage 4 endo and urgently did the laparoscopy (within 6 weeks of appointment).

And now I'm just aggressive and pissed.
Also if one more man tells me to calm down and that I'm acting hysterical, I'm telling them to pay for my
hysterectomy
then cause that ****** expensive.

Recovery time for robotic excision of DIE and hysterectomy?
I am scheduled to have robotic excision of Deep Infiltrating Endo and a total
hysterectomy
with both ovaries removed on Aug 7th. Has anyone had this kind of surgery before?

Life after my hysterectomy
Hi Just wanted to share my journey after having my
hysterectomy
in January this year, after suffering for years with adenomyosis and endometriosis, multiple surgeries. At the age of 27 it was a big decision but I knew I wanted my life back.

Embarrassing facial hair after hysterectomy
I had my full
hysterectomy
three years ago, age 33 and since then have had really embarrassing facial hair under my chin. I wax it off, but I’d rather just not have it 😞 I can only take tibolone HRT, due to my age… has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have any tips?

Anyone experienced perimenopause with endometriosis?
I’m 44 and I’ve already mentioned in previous posts that I had a
hysterectomy
4 years ago (everything removed apart from 1 ovary). As well as having adhesions I’m pretty sure my endo has returned as my pain has got worse and my bowel symptoms have returned.

7 weeks post op - still in pain?
I want a
hysterectomy
because I don't want to bleed, I've finished my family and I don't want to take birth control to have erratic periods and erratic mental health. I also know
hysterectomy
doesn't help with Endo. I don't know what I seeking for other than I'm not alone?

Mirena coil moved, strings missing, possible surgery needed to remove.
My consultant had previously said there was only surgery option left which was
hysterectomy
and removal of remaining ovary and likely colostomy bag. Discovered yesterday my endo specialist has left uk to work abroad so unsure who I even contact now about my case.

6 months after hysterectomy
So I had an abdominal
hysterectomy
6 months ago and wow the difference is amazing. To be told I may never walk again and be stuck like that to exercising (which was my aim).

PALB2 mutation.
Because she had previously had a
hysterectomy
to treat benign ovarian cysts, ovarian cancer is not a concern. “I was just so grateful for that genetic testing,” she said. “It was stressful and scary but my goodness, I had lifesaving surgery and I would not have known.” Douglas R.

Help and advice please
However, I am having a
hysterectomy
on Wednesday and I am really worried about how long it will take me to get back to running (or even walking!) after the op. Is there anyone who has experienced this or does anyone know of a programme I could follow to regain my strength?

HRT BEEN REDUCED
I have been on HRT Estraderm MX 75mg patches after a
Hysterectomy
20 years ago. I am 63 and have recently been told by my GP that the patches have to be reduced to 50 mg and maybe lower again in a few months? I cannot find any reason at all why I cannot stay on the 75 mg patches?
