Link between adhesions and ongoing abdominal pain.
.20 years ago after several years of abdominal pain I had a total
hysterectomy
. They found that my abdomen was full of violin string adhesions. I was great for a short time then I started to have intermittent abdominal pain. Lost lots of weight.

Advice request - going in circles with doctors
I've already asked for a
hysterectomy
but they don't want to at my age (mid-30's) and they said even if they did do that it might not stop endo anyway. Thank you to anyone who reads this and any help is really appreciated.

Multiple conditions leading to burnout
My consultant has recently advised I am likely to need a
hysterectomy
and has discussed injections in the interim. I am still fairly young so it isn't ideal. Alongside this, my entire family has been decimated by cancer.

B12 deficiency v. Ferritin deficiency
I had a
hysterectomy
over 10 years ago and been through menopause, so I was sent for a lot of tests to find out if there was internal bleeding, etc. All was fine. My b12 level is consistently around the 300 mark, so didn’t ever think it could be anything other than low ferritin.

Treated like 'Outsiders'
Diagnosed after lengthy amount of time undergoing symptoms and GP suggesting it may be 'all in the mind'... or menopausal (even knowing had full

in my forties so way past that!)...

I was considering
hysterectomy
for endo and Pmdd but now I’m scared my eyes would be like this forever if I have a total
hysterectomy

Post Surgery Issues
Hi All, I had a total laparoscopic
hysterectomy
in July and all healed well - very happy. Then the past few days the incision in my belly button has started hurting, I have a swollen belly and it feels like a UTI then I have some bleeding from my belly button and it has a red mark around it.

I had a
hysterectomy
10 years ago at the age of 28 due to severe endometriosis and multiple surgeries. Over the last few years the pain has returned but after visiting GP all I get is the pain can’t be endometriosis because of the
hysterectomy
. I have had abdominal scan and was told everything ok.

Adenomyosis
Do you always need a
hysterectomy
with Adenomyosis? I've just been diagnosed, also with suspected Endo, ovaries 'stuck' together and 6 ovarian cysts. Does it always progress to get much worse and possible endo cancer?

A bit late for me but...
I had a
hysterectomy
when I was about 55 for fibroids mainly but was still having painful periods at times previous to this . That is about 40 years worth! I wish all the woman on this forum well and hope they have a different experience and better one.

So Excited!
Gynae has finally agreed to give me a
hysterectomy
after 12 months of badgering my Doc. Funny how being sliced open and having organs removed can make me so happy.

Endo/Adeno Rant .... Exhausted!! Microgynon 30?
I've avoided the "recommended treatment" of Decapeptyl injections (put you through early menopause), the IUD, the pill and of course the glamourous
hysterectomy
for as long as i could and now I’m using the Pill.

Adenomyosis & IVF - a bloke in need of understanding and reading good news
But more so the pain my wife is in monthly with this adenomyosis is terrible with no cure other than birth control or a
hysterectomy
. Before considering this, I want to reach out to as many people as possible to see what our chances are of one more crack of the whip of IVF.

Advice Please
I have had 16 gynaecological operations starting at aged 13 and ending 23 years ago a day before my 40th birthday when I had an emergency
hysterectomy
where for some reason they left my cervix. Following my op they tried HRT but my BP shot up so I was taken off it.

Mother Diagnosed with Stage 4 OC, recurrence, now liver traces
Started Chemo in Feb, 2022, got a Full
Hysterectomy
surgery and received Hipec chemotherapy, was free of cancer by August only to realize cancer came back in December 2022. Several rounds of chemotherapy during recurrence with slight improvement and then chemo didn't respond.

Finally found some relief for IC
I knew it had to be hormonal, but I wasn’t about to go on the pill since I’d already had a partial
hysterectomy
thinking the pain was somehow tied to that.( This was before my female Dr realized mesh was protruding through floor after 2 male Dr’s somehow didn’t see it!!)
