Post Surgery Issues

Hi All,

I had a total laparoscopic hysterectomy in July and all healed well - very happy. Then the past few days the incision in my belly button has started hurting, I have a swollen belly and it feels like a UTI then I have some bleeding from my belly button and it has a red mark around it. It looks like a stich may have popped but is that possible after 4 months? Has anyone ever had anything like this?

I am waiting on a call from the Dr but wondered if this has happened to anyone else?

It is possible that it is endometriosis growing in the scar area. Could have been implanted/seeded during the op and assuming you are on hrt it could be feeding the endometriosis.

Did this issue resolve? Im not sure about infection wise but My stomach never went back to normal after my operation. I look like santa 24/7. It's been nearly 2 years since my op. Guess this is my new body now has your stomach gone down? X
