I would just like to mention pain medications have there place, however ask yourself is your doctor really listening to you or just writing repeat prescription for pain meds you don't really need. I have taken every medication

6 months post op 40% bend extreme pain total knee replacement
Today I had
hydrotherapy
and will do once a week for 6 weeks by which time I will be going in for a manipulation. I have just given up on getting any sleep tonight I'm in so much pain after the
hydrotherapy
. Everything I do to try and get it to bend just leaves me in more and more pain.

Hi, I'm new:)
Hi all, hope you don't mind me joining. My name is Hayley and I'm 33. I've had ibs - d for about 15 years, but symptoms were always manageable. However after the birth of my 2nd child, I had a 4th degree tear which has often left me incontinent. I have tried just about everything, anxiety medication

Surgery Options for Needle Phobics?
Edited to say we DID find a solution! The oral sedative they use at the hospital is much stronger than the ones they can prescribe for outpatient procedure. Even if you are VERY needle phobic it will be ok to have oral sedation, then start an IV, then be knocked out for the surgery. If you are needle

Post-surgery, TLE...
Hi I'm new to the app just a day. I was diagnosed with epilepsy around 8+ years ago now, tonic-clonic seizures. I wound up having seizures around every few weeks/month+ I guess, and meds wound up stretching them farther apart. Apparently I wound up with "several seizures in a row" during my seizure

Haemochromatosis support please. Ferritin levels climbing again and feel so sick. No contact from anyone.
So I'd been gradually getting sick for many years with various ailments. Eventually so ill I forced myself to overcome my massive phobia of blood. Anyway turns out I have CY28Y x 2 and a ferretin count of 1200. Hypnotherapy doesn't work so I'm just having to bite the bullet. It's horrific for me but

Has anyone tried hypnotherapy?
Hi, I have booked a hypnotherapy session to hopefully help with my anxiety and wondering if anyone else had tried it and could offer any feedback. I understand it will be different for everybody but Im hoping it does have good results.

why can't doctors listen
I had a long-awaited gastroenterologist appointment today which I found extremely frustrating. I try and keep an open mind that the doctors may be right and I may be wrong but if they don't produce strong evidence and reasoning to show me I'm wrong then I don't find it easy to just take their views

Severe pain
I'm a 56 year old man who has suffered from IBS since the age of 20. These past few years it has been getting steadily worse. My main symptom is pain which can be extremely severe. Lately I've also been suffering daily attacks of proctalgia fugax- just to make my miserable existence infinitely worse.

Nothing helps! Getting longer, more intense and frequent!
I'm suffering with anxiety and sleeplessness half of every week and sleeping all day every day with depression the rest of the week. It's resulted in a series of excessive and embarrassing self-soothing behaviors that I can stop. I no longer can stop humming, rocking, clenching hands and teeth, gripping

I cannot except myself
It is the weirdest thing. I am 26 years old and have never been completely satisfied with how I look.. constant diets, constantly trying to loose weight but never quite getting there. Lately things have worsened to a point where I am really struggling to find any will power to loose weight. As a result
