Hello

I have followed this site for a few years now but have never posted.

I would just like to mention pain medications have there place, however ask yourself is your doctor really listening to you or just writing repeat prescription for pain meds you don't really need.

I have taken every medication prescribed for fybro over the years, been addicted to opiates and withdrawn.

If I can help 1 person cut down on pain meds with this post it will be a blessing.

They take over your life and then you don't have one, please please don't just stop speak to your health provider before reducing

You will not cure fybro but you may have a better quality of life with alternative treatments like hypnotherapy, hypnotherapy, mindfulness, exercise etc & I know you have heard all of this before but it does help

You won't have the energy for any of this at first but little steps are all it takes

There is a life after pain meds for fybro but please remember to speak to your gp

Especially if you are taking opiates for pain

Lots of love to you all xx
