Rash now has a name
Hi, I've finally had results from my biopsy . It seems the rash is known as Lichen Planus No cure but it can be treated, it's related to the immune system. It's not infectious or contagious. I've been given a steroid cream to use for a month then have to see the specialist again. If it turns out to be

take NDT at night?
Has anyone ever tried taking NDT at night, and found that it had a positive impact on your well-being...? I am asking after reading the other night that people suffering from adrenal sufficiency and taking Medrol had better take it at bedtime, so that they wake up with ideal cortisol level (due to Medrol's

Red Sore Face
Hi there my face every few weeks flairs up, I have tried steroid cream and other creams that should sooth the redness and soreness but it keeps coming back. I woke up this morning washed my face with water and my skin inflamed instantly. Are there any creams that can help this condition ???

~Should our meds be taken at same time each day?~
Have returned (last week) from a mercy dash to Queensland, Australia of 3 busy days and extreme heat. There was a time difference of 3 hours between NZ & Qld, Auz. I did try hard to stick to what I thought would be similar timing to that of my home routine as best as possible under the circumstances

total confusion
So I went to see a so called top doctor in Belgium the other day, supposedly one of the best. Before going there, I had extensive labs done (blood and 24 h urine). I feel pretty well overall, work full-time, lead a normal life...I feel tired from time to time, but who doesn't...?! Anyway, it seems

~Numbness in toes + ball of foot~
A big hello to my trusty helpers out there.............. Can anyone relate to developing slow gradual onset numbness in their toes and fleshy area of foot beneath toes since being on steroids for their PMR? I ask in light of my PMR diagnosis February 2014 and more noticeable since very slowly decreasing

Hello.. I've had psoriasis for 15 years starting from the age of 10. Its progressively gotten worse now covering roughly 45% of my body and over half of my face. I've gone through everything.. I've been smothered in tar and wrapped with plastic wrap, horrifically burned by the UVB booth, was on topical

Steriods
Hi all, I had GPA for 11 years now and have been on Mycophenolate and 5mg of Prednisolone for some years now. At clinic yesterday they want to stop my Prednisolone . I am to have a blood test to see if my body is producing its own. If so it will just be stopped without reducing it. If not then they

Zytiga and Xtandi .... what do you think about this?
Diagnosed in ‘2008 at the age of 50. Because it was in his lymph node, he went with Casodex (30 days), Lupron (2 years) and radiation (40 external beam). In ‘2012 he did Taxotere when his PSA had a one month doubling rate. Planned to do 6 months, but was stopped at four months with heavy side effects

Does anyone take hydrocortisone?
Hey guys, sorry to ask two questions in one day. But I have incredibly low cortisol, and mild hypothyroidism. I want to start on a thyroid supplement, but am terrified of making my adrenal situation worse (it's really, really critical. I can barely function and don't want to end up in Addison's territory

My introduction - AMN
This is my first post on this forum. I am a 30-year-old male from the Pacific Northwest who was diagnosed with AMN in the summer of 2015. I had been experiencing symptoms throughout my twenties, and my wife, a nurse, finally convinced me to find out what was going on. My grandfather had AMN and passed

Advice on adrenal and thyroid test results please
I’ve recently had my adrenals and thyroid re-tested to check progress, specifically to judge whether my adrenals have recovered sufficiently to withstand the rigours of surgery which I may need in the next year or so. Note that Genova changed the reference ranges in 2015 – which doesn’t help interpretation

Red patches of vascular skin condition
Hi I have a dark red patch on both of my ankles which seems to be spreading up my legs. It started around 2 years ago as small red dots under the skin but it's now advanced to a large area. Sometimes the patches are more red than others, usually if I've been on my feet all day at work. There's no itching
