The horse is dead! (A follow up from my last post)
So after being nebbed to death, yesterday the reg I saw asked me to stop reg nebs and try with just vent and PRN nebs. I suggested hydrocortisone therapy (again) but was told it’s the same as taking steroids etc etc (🤦♀️). Name dropped my old spec hospital where I had it done and suddenly she told

Seeking help for treating infrequent but devastating Brainstem/Hemiplegic/Vestibular migraine symptoms
Hello, I am new here and looking to speak with anyone that has experienced Basilar (Brainstem) Migraines combined with Hemiplegic or Vestibular Migraines. I'd love to get your take on how best to seek treatment as my episodes are infrequent but devastating--as in temporarily locked-in. I'm still recovering

Flogging a dead horse... when will they admit defeat?
A really crappy Easter weekend... now feeling really frustrated (and very teary!). I’m fed up of being ignored by docs (and ashamed for feeling that way cause I know I was due a ‘bad’ admission so I feel guilty for feeling so upset). To sum it up, I ended up in a&e last Thursday (17 days after my last

Adrenal insufficiency
Yesterday I received the worrying news that, after a blood test taken by the rheumatology pharmacist he finds my score is 61. 100-400 is considered abnormally low. So now for a syancthin (spelling?) test. I have been on pred for 7/8 years & down to 2.5mg but I asked the Rheumy if I could have a test

Hydrocortisone not helping, please help
Last week I was finally prescribed HC by a dr in Belgium and I thought it was the answer to my prayers as my cortisol saliva results are pretty bad and I was feeling really badly ( no thyroid meds yet). I have taken the hc for 5 days now and the first 2 days were good, but now it's just making me ill

Best laid plans ...
Well today was a first. The plan was to repeat last weeks 8k but my body decided otherwise! Got to just past half way and legs just didn’t want to go. Felt like jelly 😕. Finished the 8k in a combo of walk and jog instead. Not really sure why. I did have a disturbed night sleep due to the smoke alarm

Balancing T3 over the day (aka fast heartrate at 2am, aka T3 suppressing T4 to T3 conversion?)
Hello thyroid gurus, My father gets a rapid heartbeat at night for years now. His pulse gradually increases starting around 7pm each night, from a good resting rate of ~65 bpm up to 90-120bpm around 2am, even when he is just lying in bed. He can't sleep, and if he does, he huffs & puffs so his breathing

Hydrocortisone ingredients
I'm looking to use hydrocortisone tablets for adrenals but every brand I see has either lactose or corn flour/starch in them. Are there any without either of these? Thanks

Breaking out/swelling around eye area past 2 years. No diagnosis, nothing helps!
So I never had any allergy/skin issues until a little over 2 years ago. It started with a rash/swelling/itching on both upper eyelids. I’ve been to an allergist, a dermatologist, and a regular physician and none of them could give me any information. They all basically said “It could be from anything

When you’re sick and it’s not cancer.
