What is DF?

Hi all, can anyone tell me what DF is please. It was mentioned in a recent post.

I have had PMR/GCA for twelve years now, been up and down on pred all this time. Now down to 8 mg. When I was given Hydrocortisone for my PMR to get me off pred a few years back, it did not work for me at all.

Then when on 5mg of pred they said persevere to get off it. Well I got to 2mg and was bed bound, I could hardly move. So back up to 15mg.

I am just going round in circles. I am now diagnosed with Diabetes because of pred.

I was 55 when this started. I have had to use a walking stick for several years, and have very limited walking.

Just so sick of it.

Hoping others get rid of this as soon as possible.

I'm sorry I don't know what df is but what are the symptoms of pmr/GCA please,? I do have fibromyalgia, diabetes, depression, IBS, diverticulitis, under active thyroid, Nash(non alcoholic steatohepititis) caused by meds from my drs, costochondritis and sciatica to name but a few!!! My goodness, you have such a lot of illnesses to cope with.

If you Google PMR/GCA Symptoms that will explain it better than me.

Apparently DF is deadly fatigue, which I ought to have known as I do suffer from fatigue as well.

Deadly Fatigue

It can be part of PMR due to the autoimmune part or can be Steroid related .do you belong to the PMR/GCA site on HU .

Can also be Fibro related

Hi Rose54, yes I belong to this site, joined quite a few years ago. I often read the posts on here.

I should have realised what DF was as I suffer fatigue as well. I was diagnosed with PMR/GCA and some years ago they said I had Fibro as well. Find it quite hard really to work out which is which sometimes.

I know thier are some on the PMR/GCA site that have both Fibro and PMR

Strange how different community's name it

PMR/GCA we say Deadly or Deathly Fatigue

Its still horrible what ever its called
