Steroids in general can cause glaucomma or cataracts but I'm not sure they can cause eye pain. It would also depend on how much hydrocortisone you are on. I'm on replacement Hydrocortisone so not a huge amount in comparison to other conditions. Prednisilone is often used for asthma, arthritis as it has a longer anti inflammatory effect. Hydrocortisone is more often used in adrenal insufficiency although some people find they do better on prednisilone. Hope that helps a bit?

Hi, I have no idea about cortisone . Thyroid problems (hypo or hyper) can cause eye issues too.
