Help with partial circumcision and steroid cream use
Hi there. I am considering having a partial circumcision but feeling a bit lost and unsure of it all. I can pull my foreskin all the way back when soft, but only a little bit when erect and def not all the back. Am I missing out on extra pleasure like this? I’m in my mid 30s, is it too late to try steroid

Yellow Fever vaccination
Hi there I am on CLL watch and wait and travelling in April with my daughter who has received the yellow fever vaccination. How long should I avoid contact with her so that I don't accidentally develop yellow fever myself?

Very Itchy Outer Ear?
I am sure you will think I am going mad but can anyone suggest a possible explanation for my VERY itchy ears!!! It is so annoying, I have tried vaseline, hydrocortisone cream but nothing helps. I cannot think what could possibly be causing it, they (ears!) don't look dry. The itchiness is only on the

Steroids v Hydrocortisone
Has Anyone had any experiences when reducing steroid dose they are prescribed a sparing medication to substitute steroid when you actually come off the steroids , The favoured sparing medication seems to be methatrexate which has terrible side effects, and I’m not convinced it’s the right med to go on

Could anyone please advice me as to whether it is o.k for Hashimoto's people to take hydrocortisone tablets for a mouth ulcer ?
Hello friends, I have a small (sort of) ulcer in my mouth, just under my lip, and it's been there for a few weeks now. It came on after a strong bite into my lip.... It isn't uncomfortable or painful, but when I showed it to my doctor, he made no comment, just produced the tablets, which apparently

CRP 24 threatening to defer my surgery
My CRP has been quite high over the last few months- it was 30 in November and I felt well but then had a PMR flare, so I thought that was that. Then it was measured at the beginning of January and it was 20. I was puzzled as to why- nothing obvious. I had my pre-op last week and my surgeon has just

BXO QUESTION
Hi chaps, after some advice from anyone who has suffered from bxo. I was circumcised 7 weeks ago which dealt white the majority of the issue. However I went back to the dr and he has given me some steroid cream to use for 6 weeks to try and remove the scaring on my head and what’s left of my frenulum

Small red patch/scar on my face not going away
Hi everyone - I've had lupus for 5 years and have been generally pretty stable. Two months ago I noticed this small red patch/scar on my face out of no where. I remember slightly scratching it by accident so not sure if thats why the mark is taking so long to recover. Does anyone know how I can heal

Back to square one. Big flare up.
I’m so fed up as I thought I was getting there but I’ve just seen my GP and it’s back to 15mg of Prednisolone per day. I started my journey in October 2016 on 15mg and felt the best for years, with no raised ESR and CRP it wasn’t certain that the upper arm pain was Polymyalgia but within hours the pain

Dose increase after blood tests and Consultant appointment
Hello, I was hoping some of your learned people could give me an opinion on my latest test results and subsequent dose increase. I am ACTH deficient and have been on Hydrocortisone x3 daily for 8 1/2 years. It seems my Pituitary is now failing on the TSH front too, and while it is doing something, it's

Persistent low level headache and dizziness since moving from oral MTX to injections . . . or just me being odd?
A little bit of background first. I'm relatively new to my RA diagnosis (although not RA I fear!) - November 2018. I have sero-negative RA. I've been under the Respiratory team for years with Inflammatory Asthma and have had bibasal bronchiecstasis diagnosed very recently after a CT scan in the summer

Sudden bad pain in my right hand, wrist and fingers with previous red painful rash on the same arm.
Good afternoon I haven't been putting all my dots together. I say this because about 7 weeks ago I developed a really painful itching red rash on my right arm. Gp gave me steroid cream but its still very itchy. Moving on now until yesterday. Out of the blue my right hand started to hurt badly and for

Lichen Sclerosus/BXO Advice Needed
It's just over 2 weeks now after my circumcision due to Lichen sclerosus/BXO and I wanted to ask for any advice... How does this look to any professionals out there or people who have the same condition? Initially after my circ, a few large blisters formed which were extremely painful. I sterilised a

Hydrocortisone and Thyroid
Hi All, does anyone know if hydrocortisone can interfere with thyroid results? I was on 100mg Levo, changed to 100 Levo plus 20mg T3 feb 2019 and results were normal (t3 5.5 range 3.1-6.8, T4 16.3 range 12-22, tsh 0.02 range 0.27-4.20. In June I was put on hydrocortisone 12.5mg as adrenal insufficiency

Granuloma Annulare - feeling like an outcast
I was 14 when it first appeared, it was on my left hip and knee. My mam was baffled, she initially thought it was ring worm, it kinda looked like ring worm from the Google searches I was conducting every day. My gp practice at the time took a sample from my knee, they scraped the top layer of my skin

My Circumcision Experience (and question at the end)
I'm new to this site but it helped me a lot when I was searching up the topic. I was terrified about my circumcision and I found myself Googling it at every possible chance, and I read so many horror stories which massively put me off. I wanted to post my experience for anyone who's scared, wants to

Hospital pressures and early discharges
Last night I self discharged from one of the most traumatic hospital stays I’ve had! A bit of background- I was diagnosed asthma in may - raised eosinophils and FeNo. Started on relvar and all appeared to be good, fast forward to October 16th I suddenly developed this tight cough, struggled to to catch
