Afternoon fellow warriors, after a recent Pet scan they have found 2 spots one on my upper spine and the other on my neck.My Oncologist is worried having radiotherapy on my neck maybe to close to the spinal cord should I be worried that this is the case. She is suggesting I just move into a different

Start Adalimumab next week!
Start this drug next week after 2 and a half years of shocking hell. I was still playing football 5 times a week at the start of 2022, when a pain in the bottom of my foot stopped me in my tracks (now it’s in both feet, ankles, shoulders and back). Got diagnosed with spondyloarthritis. Long story short

Sore gut after bad flare up
So the initial nightmare flare up & cramps on Sunday night/Monday has now eased off. I can't say it's calmed down because I'm left with the worst lower abdominal pains and extreme sore feeling inside. Just putting my feet on the ground to walk seems to jolt! Feeling of bad bloating but actually

Still fighting for a diagnosis B12, PA
Due to my ongoing failing health I've had to do my own research as to the pathway of blood test results, symptoms and the progression/knock on effects of having doctors who refuse to help. I have had to be extremely proactive in my own diagnosis, following the path of autoimmune conditions (co-morbid

B12 supplementation query
My active B12 level in 2022 was 66.1 pmol/L and following advice on our wonderful forum I began taking Thorne basic B complex. This raised my levels to 78.6 pmol/L in 2023. This year my B12 level is 76.3 pmol/L. So it hasn't continued to increase to the recommended 100 pmol/L. For the past ten days

Best Salvage Brachytherapy and SBRT locations
I'm trying to find top hospitals that have an experienced RO in salvage treatments for radio-recurrent PCa. I'm close to Duke Cancer Center and they have a RO there who does salvage Brachytherapy but he's only been practicing for 5 years so I doubt he has as much experience as I'd like. I think my

Jaw necrosis. Check up. Better safe than sorry. Thought I would get away with dying from my PC before I would need to be at a dentist lol.
4 plus years on Zometa so getting a check up for necrosis to be on the safe side. One of the members of my oncology team who I see about every other appointment finally for about the 3rd time bringing it up with me I agreed best to get a dental check for any signs of jaw necrosis. So delayed my Zometa

Possible Problems With Bladder Cancer Treatment
My treatment now seems to be - Flexy Cystoscopy first - If anything is found then booked for admission to have tumour(s) removed. This is done with a procedure called TURBT and rigid cystoscopy. As a BTY - I am unsure if my BCG treatment has ended, or have I one more go. I am not allowed "general

Ivermectin
I was recently diagnosed with CLL after a year plus of repeating colds and respiratory infections. My whites were in the high 20's sometimes almost doubling in a couple of weeks time. Now they are in the low to mid teens and I feel good. So, my question is has anyone used Ivermectin with any success?

Lung Biopsy - Lucky?
During my 1st PEt scan for PC a shadow was revealed on my lung. Subsequent to my PC treatment I did a CT scan of the area and am undergoing a biopsy of that node in a few days. The pulmonary Dr. had doubts that it was from the PC since it was so far removed from the prostate and my cancer was not advanced

vitamin results
I’ve just received my vitamin results. My ferritin is 52, serum vitamin b12 level 462 ng/l, serum folate level 16.5 ng/l (range 3-20), vitamin D 90. A year ago my ferritin was 48, vitamin b12 331 and folate 12.3. I’m disappointed my ferritin has only gone up by 4. I tried cutting tea out near meal

Once I start supplementing B12, will my B12 blood tests still be accurate?
I would like to know if blood tests will still be a useful measure of my B12 levels, once I have started supplementing B12. I would be testing active B12. The reason I ask is that I have read pernicious anemia people saying that once they start injections (and supplements too maybe), that the B12 blood

Seeking anyone familiar with aggressive small cell neuroendocrine prostate cancer and/or with lurbinectedin as 2nd line chemotherapy.
A needle biopsy Oct 15, 2023 revealed that at least some of my metastatic prostate cancer in a lymph node had mutated to an aggressive small cell neuroendocrine prostate cancer. (notable for CDK N1B, RB1, Tp53 mutations. MSS, TMB low) I had 4 cycles of carboplatin/etoposide chemotherapy, which ended
