There is still HOPE
It has been a long time since I posted. First, I want say that I am an 11 year survivor having been diagnosed with Stage 3c ovarian cancer. I’ve had multiple recurrences and I am currently dealing with my seventh. I remember frantically looking for survival stories just to see how much time I had after

Can PA antibodies be reversed??
I’m back again and another complaint about a professional’s lack of knowledge in PA. Today I had a consultation with a naturopath whom I have been seeing since July. She wanted to discuss my B12 injection regimen. In her professional opinion, she believes that as the gut healing process I’m currently

upper GI symptoms
Does anyone have upper gastro stomach symptoms? I’m currently going through horrible heartburn, gurgling and nausea. Already take 10mg omeprazole a day and now they’ve upped it to 30mg. Still churning and nauseous! It’s the daily nausea that gets me down the most

deranged LFT and Gallbladder perforation
hi, hoping someone may have experience like mine. I had a perforated gallbladder whilst in hospital with Sepsis back in November. Because of my weight and existing issue the team didn’t want to operate as keyhole wasn’t an option so would have involved open surgery. So I was put on antibiotics for 6

Iron deficiency problem? But told satisfactory . Please can anyone advise
Hi everyone, Hope you are all keeping well as we can be. Apologies for this long post I recently requested in Sep to have my VIT D levels checked as I recognised some of the symptoms from when I was deficient. And for some reason my levels had dropped so started 5 weeks ago to take a twice weekly

Dissecated liver for iron
Hello, I’ve had issues with my ferritin being low, even though I’ve been supplementing with iron for a while. Has anyone tried dissecated liver to get their iron levels up? If so, do you have one that you would recommend?

Too much B12??
Can high serum and active B12 levels (above recommended levels) cause the nerve damage? I recently had to visit my GP clinic and couldn’t get my favourite doctor so, agreed to seeing another doctor. Upon looking at my file he was shocked to see my apparently ‘very high B12’ results. In his opinion, too

New member - Post ET MF (Australia)
I'm 42, married with six children, and I live in Australia. In 2013, I was diagnosed with CAL-R positive ET. I started taking aspirin and managed pretty well. After a spontaneous bleed in my right quadricep, it was discovered that I also had a genetic bleeding disorder, dysfibrinogenemia. After that

Ibs pain
I have recently been diagnosed with ibs, well my doctor has said it’s ibs but I am awaiting further tests. I have been following a gluten free diet for about 2 months now, I have noticed that I am less bloated but that has been the only change. I am wanting to ask, does anyone else get woke up through

Stem cell transplant (SCT) 15 months on
I'm now 15 months after my SCT and in my my recent review my figures are improving:WBC 4.0 HB 139 Neut 2.3, lymph1.12 and platelets 106 ( highest for a couple of years). I also had my CD4 lymphocytes measured and can now come off Acyclovir and pentamidine. Hooray! I hated those nebulisers. This leaves

Hi everyone, I just joined this group today. I wanted to get some things off my chest. I deal with panic attacks and panic disorder. I haven’t had a panic attack since I started my Lexpro a few months back until last week on Friday. I can’t really understand why my brain is the way it is lol. One of

side effect from Buprenorphine and Naloxone sublingual film
I started taking Buprenorphine and Naloxone three weeks ago. Initially the RLS symptoms are pretty much relieved. Lately the same dosage I have been on which is about a little more than a quarter of the film (around 0.6-0,8 mg) not only gives me severe calf pain but also my legs still jumping all night

post cholecystectomy issues
I had my gallbladder out (gallstones) 10 years ago and for the first 5 or so years I had no problems whatsoever, life returned to normal. Then I started getting these weird night time vomiting events. Always seemed to be woken between 2 and 3am with a heavy pressure in my stomach/gut, not feeling nauseas

surviving the rat race.
I moved cities recently to peruse my art career. Which was a bold step for me. I don’t really like change. Although I was excited about the possibility of finally living my dream and having opportunities in this town I didn’t have before. I could reinvent myself. Live the life I’ve always wanted. Well

stem cell transplant survival with MF
This link gives some figures for overall survival with or without a transplant. The headline really is the initial mortality close to the transplant is only worth risking if your MF is quite bad. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7218417/

CHAMP Trial/Small Cell Chemo Update
If you don’t feel like reading my bio, I’ll give a synopsis: My dad is only 53 with advanced metastatic PC that spread to his liver earlier this year. His PSA had been undetectable so it really threw us for a loop. My dad finished 6 sessions of carbo & etoposide chemo about 3 weeks ago. He is still randomly
