Swollen leg leaves me frustrated
So a short bit of background: I travel to Maine in U.S. every August to "climb", hike, swim (float really) and kayak. Last year was rough and I mostly kayaked as my ACL's and MCL's (medial cruciate ligaments) in both knees are torn. This year I only managed two tiny mountains 5 days apart and bam,

What treatment worked best for Seronegative Inflammatory Arthritis?
Hiya I'm a newbie to NRAS, and had lots of side effects with various treatments for SNIA (Seronegative Inflammatory Arthritis). I am just about to restart taking Baricitinib after trying Methx, Sulfzine, Tocilizumab (infusions), Benepali, etc All of the above didn't last in terms of efficacy. I did

Endo and oestrogen and risk for blood clots
Hi I suffer with endometriosis. It was discovered during my hysterectomy in 2019. I developed a PE 6 days after surgery and I am now on blood thinners for life. I have been suffering with horrible brain fog, difficulty concentrating and remembering. I get confused because I don't remember things sharply

I’ve recently had a hospital appointment of a pre-op for left knee replacement. Amongst the many issues I have with complying with all the requirements for the best possible outcome, is one of weight. I have put on 6 stone in 6 months (thanks to pred), totally knocked off my feet with a DVT, cellulitis

Glad to have found this group
Hello, and thank you for the add. What follows is my bio, which I am using to explain why I wish to be included in this group. I have questions and no answers. My first awareness of osteoarthritis was in 2014 when I was told my should pain was due to bone spurs, no cartilage, and osteoarthritis. That

Is Anyone Using Indivina HRT With Success (no thyroid med interactions and weight gain)?
I am considering trying Indivina HRT due to it being hair growth friendly as I have hair thinning, and also to prevent further bone loss ( I have early onset osteoporosis). If anyone who is hypo and uses Indivina, I would be grateful if they could advise on how successful they are finding it, particularly

On zoladex, worried HRT reactivated endometriosis ? Anyone had the same?
I have been on Zoladex for 4-5 months now, it’s helped my ovulation pain massively and the sharp pains I used to get with my period. I started on 1/2 patch of combined HRT 3 months after starting the zoladex but it wasn’t controlling the menopausal symptoms so I was upped to a full patch. Since starting

Sore thyroid/neck
Morning. Quick question if I may? Feeling good on levothyroxine 75mg, T3 5 mg and hrt. My only issue is my thyroid/neck is really sore. I've had it scanned and no nodules just shows typical Hashimotos or Thyroiditis. Endo wants to increase T3 to 10 mg but im not keen to have any more medication,

Advice please.
I was started on levothyroxine 25mcg in Dec 2021 after having symptoms of underactive thyroid. At this time TSH was 5.47 (0.38-5.35), FT4 11.5 (7.9-14.4) In Feb 2022 TSH was checked and 4.63. No change in medication. Since this time I have slowly had worsening symptoms of fatigue, weight gain, feeling

6 months after valve replacement and all is looking good.
I had mitral valve replacement exactly 6 months ago at Barts in London. It looks like people who are doing good are not writing on this forum. We usually see the others and therefore naturally think, after surgery people are not doing good. Its completely opposite in my experience. I had the OHS and

Here We Go Again?
As I write this my heart feels heavy accompanied by a dull ache and a small 'buzz' every so often. If it follows its normal progression it will start to feel squeezed during the next 24 hours & as though it has over done it at the gym and now feeling sore. This combination has seen me in A&E over 5

knee replacement during ADT
I have been on ADT for 8 months. I have a small farm and usually do constant physical labor. I find that I now have major fatigue and can now only do small things that leave me exhausted. I fell and wrenched my knee. I got a steroid injection and have a brace, my knee is bone o bone. I need a knee replacement

pros and cons of hysterectomy vs decapeptyl injections for fibroids
Hi- wondering if anyone else had to make a decision between continuing decapeptyl injections (simulate menopause to control fibroids) or having open hysterectomy? Been on the injections a year now. There isn’t much research on long term use of injections which ‘switch off’ your hormones, and I can
