List of private doctors
Good morning, is there a list of private doctors that would take a blood test to check for vitamins in the Glasgow area.

Early morning blood tests
I see on other posts that an early morning blood test before 09:00hrs is suggested for an accurate reading. I went to have bloods taken yesterday morning at 08:55hrs for ferritin. My phlebotomist found that my blood flow was a bit on the slow side... but ok for the lab test. She thought she might have

Immunocompromised?
Hi everyone I have looked at some pinned articles and still wanted to put this question out there. As a person who is Stage 0, is in W&W who has healthy RBC, Platelets and Immunoglobulin numbers… am I still considered immunocompromised? My WBC number is currently around 34. I work in large crowds

Not sure what’s going on, I had blood tests because of headaches and temple pain but I’ve just had a call from rheumatologist now making an urgent appointment for this Friday and wanting me to increase prednisone from 10mg back up to 15 until I see him, very strange.

Annual review and fibro diagnosis
Hi all.I had an annual (18 months in truth) review with rheumatology yesterday. I wanted to discuss experiencing constant brain fog and chronic fatigue and whether this was a side effect of MTX. I also have ongoing low level pain, especially in my knees and a few other places. I wanted to know if

Advice Needed Following Test Results
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism in November 2023 and started on a 50mcg dose of Levothyroxine. In March this year, my GP increased this to 75mcg (50mcg Accord and 25mcg Mercury Pharma). This week I took a private blood test to check my latest thyroid and vitamin status. These are my latest thyroid

Jaw clenching + Levothyroxine
Hi all, Apologies for the long post. I'd like some advice please regarding jaw clenching when on Levothyroxine. Does anyone else have this issue? I am currently on 87.5mic Teva levothyroxine. I have asked my pharmacy for a different brand to see if it helps, but they tell me that they can only get

Possible Overmedication Woes
I switched to T4/T3 combo in December, I'm self sourcing Tiromel. I was at that point taking 200mcg of Levo, felt okish but felt T3 could be higher it was 5.2 on a range of 3.1-6.8. This was a private test in October. I didnt want to add more Levo so following advice decoded to try some T3. Added 6.25mcg

Cyst delaying ivf - any experiences?
Has anyone had an ovarian cyst delay your ivf cycle? Looking for anyone to share their experiences, specifically how long did the cyst take to go away and what did you do to help it reduce? I’ve been doing down regulation for two weeks now, had my baseline scan last Friday 26/04 when I was suppose

Baricitinib (Olumiant) side effects - did they improve over time?
I finally took the plunge to have Olumiant on Monday 22nd after getting my blood tests/vaccines etc. It's been a bit of an up-and-down story so am wondering what other people's experiences have been like. This is a draft of what I'm going to email my Rheumatologist but thought it was worth hearing some

T3 side effects
Good morning, I have recently started T3 (around 7 weeks ago). I was prescribed 10mcg daily alongside 62.5mcg of Levo. After the first week I dropped the dose to 5mcg due to palpitations. I increased back up to 10mcg 3 weeks later. In the last couple of weeks I have been experiencing a lot of joint

GCA or Occipital Neauralgia
confused. I’ve seen a rheumatologist three times in the last year Re:Temporal Arteritis . I’ve had a biopsy which came back negative, because previously my doctor prescribed steroids for inflammation and head pain. Rheumatologist prescribed 50mg of prednisone after a while to be gradually reduced.

Inflammation is the real problem and increased cholesterol the solution. So why has cholesterol got such a bad rap?
Two good, short articles that sum up what I've been trying to say for ages:

Should go into the OMAHA2a ODM-208 (MK-5684-004): phase 3 trial?
I had my 3 monthly OC visit last week. Blood test is showing 0.3 up from 0.15 six weeks ago. MO is suggesting that I should go into the ODM-208 (MK-5684): phase 3 trial if PSA rises above 1.0. PSA of 1.0 or above is a entry requirement for the trial, presumable to be sure that my current treatment

husband just diagnosed with dilated catsiomyopathy
Hi my 51 year old his back has just been diagnosed with DCM. It would seem to be in a slightly milder form (I think). The only symptom he has displayed has been slight palpitations, feeling like a skipped heartbeat. His initial echo showed an EF of 38%. For the last few weeks he has been on entresto
