A recurring theme here, and in many other health forums, is how female patients are treated differently, less believed, less understood, than male patients. Even by female doctors. Although this article does not mentioned thyroid, I think we all realise that it is a prime example. Nonetheless, I hope

IBS basics for beginners
Dear all, I have recently been suffering from excess burping and stomach pains for which I became dependent on Nexium for a couple of weeks. I have recently found that this is due mainly to changing from almond milk to lactose free milk, and also because I have been drinking a lot of decaff tea and

Got Circumcised Today
Wow! I’m circumcised now! Appt was this morning at the office of Dr. David Cornell - The Circumcision Center in Atlanta, GA. Aside from the generous consultation time he gave me the total procedure time took about 1hr 15min and included the prepping, figuring out exact inner and outer incision points

Hi all I’m new here. Trying, in vain, to gain more information to put together an appeal to the support system for those diagnosed with Hep C after a contaminated blood transfusion before 1991. Hi I have been having fluctuating alt for 6 years. Been through all the blood tests and scans and have asma antibodies and high igg. I have had autoimmune thyroid disease and have lupus. Things point towards AIH however my alt has recently gone down to almost normal so hepatologist says he won't do

Can diet prevent or slow down dementia?
We hear so much from the media about what we should or should not eat. One day blueberries are the new so-called ‘superfood’ that will reduce our risk of developing dementia, the next it is the humble plum. But what information can we rely on to be accurate?
