what is the desired T4:T3 ratio? (because I don’t think this is it)
I just put all my latest lab results in the calculator and said “YIKES”! What ratio should I be shooting for? This doesn’t seem right — and I sure don’t feel well. Having the percentages really helps me understand just how low I am on B12 & D! Thanks always. - T4:T3 Ratio: 0.417 - Free T4: 1.25

Medichecks Results and Advice please
Good morning everyone - following my last post when I was suffering a backslide from my previous post when I was feeling so much better - you recommended me to get a full private test - initially to get a T3 reading, but as I was unsure of my Folate /Vit D etc I went for the full Advanced Thyroid test

Help with results please
April 2022, had been feeling unwell for 18-24 months, then noticed hair thinning, 1 stone weight gain in a month, with no change in diet. Couldn’t concentrate, felt lightheaded/dizzy, extreme fatigue, even falling to sleep at work mid afternoon. Very short of breath on exertion, normal spirometry .Tickley

High White cell and neutrophils
I had a blood test last Thursday, on viewing it said both above normal on the white cell count and neutrophils. I'm still waiting for the others to come back like ferritin, B12, folate, liver function, CRP, thyroid function, vit d, calcium, lipids and U&E's. I have been feeling a bit rubbish but the

underactive thyroid
hi there I’ve had an under active thyroid for 8 years and recently gained weight and losing iron. My doctor has said my neck thyroid reading is ok but my “brain reading is slower” Does this make sense to anyone? Also, how do people take iron and vitamin d as I have read not to take it near medication

Kindly requesting help again
unfortunately it now seems I have a diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis as well. I’ve been really unwell with severe pain. Still waiting for an NHS appointment. Paid to see a Private Rheumatologist and I’ve also had an ultrasound scan. With all that being said, because of all the different inflammatories

Vitamin D Status & Cancer Mortality
New German study of British data below [1]. I was born on the SW coast of England at latitude 50 degrees. (Edinburgh, Scotland is at 56 degrees.) St. John's in Newfoundland, Canada, is at latitude 47.6 degrees, so one might expect the average Brit to have a much poorer vitamin D status than the

hello, this is my first post - I’ve done a lot of lurking and learning here for a few months whilst waiting for blood test results. It’s kept me sane dipping in to this amazing space and given me confidence to get help and create structure around my health - which is amazing given where I was 6 months

TSH conundrum
I'm a 72yr old male. Diagnosed with hypothyroidism 15 years ago. Told I had autoimmune thyroid disease following blood test showing high antibodies. Currently on 125 msg thyroxine. Dr has never tested anything apart from TSH and occasionally FreeT4 and based my medication on these results. Fortunately

Vit D.
Quick question. How long does it take for Vit D to hit your system, any ideas? My Dr suggested I double my dose as it’s a bit on the low side so I’m taking 4000iu with Vit K 2 MK-7. I’ve done this for a week and I’ve just noticed my muscles aren’t aching so much and I’ve got a little more energy.

Adcal thoughts please
I just wondered what the experts thoughts are on taking Adcal when you don’t have thyroid problems? My 80 year old mother broke her hip 3 years ago, had a Dexa scan which was fine, although was subsequently told they’re pointless for someone of her age. I’ve got her on higher dose vitamin D and K2

Vitamin D test
I have been taking Vitamin D+K2 for a few months now, while in Tesco today I noticed a at home vitamin D test so I brought one. I have just done the test and it showed only 1 line which says vitamin D levels are excessive and I should contact my doctor, how reliable are these at home finger price tests

How do my results look?
I posted a few weeks ago about some numbers I had and I've since had other tests, so I am just wondering what the forum think.
11:00 on July 17th ("basic" blood panel for conducted by Vitality/Livi + an added TRAb because of my high levels) -- blood drawn via vacutainer
* TRAb:
<2.9 iu/L

Subclinical Hypo but symptoms have returned - advice please
Hi, I’m just looking for advice on how to approach the GP (it’s a teaching practice so Drs are never the same). There is a family history of thyroid problems (hypothyroidism with an immediate blood relative) and numerous other autoimmune diseases. I started experiencing non-specific symptoms (
