What should I be doing about tapering prednisolone?
Hello again, good people. I posted a few weeks ago when newly diagnosed and have learned a lot from your advice but I think I need a bit more. I said then my GP wanted me to begin a taper from 15mg prednisolone after a month to 10mg. At 4 weeks on pred (last Thursday) I had bloods taken - ESR 8, CRP

Could my B12d be due to medication
After another wasted trip to the doctors last month. She showed some concern over my long list of symptoms but thought it best to wait another 5 weeks before we discussed B12 injections again (She is convinced it is due to diet), and in the meantime sent me for more of the same repeated blood tests but

Dr. John Campbell on Vitamin D and Prostate Cancer.
This video from Dr. John Campbell discusses a (in his opinion good) meta-analysis of Vitamin D and prostate cancer mortality. According to his assessment of the analysis, Vitamin D reduces all-cause mortality in those with prostate cancer. The study: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/30352424/ The

Supplements and testing.
Hi, I have been taking Vitamin D and Folic Acid as my last blood test showed they were both very low. I am due to retest and I am not sure, should I stop taking the supplements before I retest or is it okay to carry on taking them. Thank you in advance for any help.

Still feeling Awful, but results are improving
Hi All! **I have edited this to add my other bloods which came in today. I am VERY disappointed that my B12 has dropped so much considering I had an injection, albeit two months ago now. I have very slowly cut a tiny bit off my t3 and felt much better for a week, but now I am in the slow decline again

Just got updated thyroid hormone results — see why I'm tired.
Well, I can see why I am so tired. The iron panel is certainly much better, but not as high as I think it should be, but since this is my field, I will keep working on it. Serum zinc will take about a week to get back. B12 and vitamin D are very good / optimal for hypothyroid, so it's not low nutrients

Private testing
Hi. Someone I know in South Wales needs private blood testing for TSH, FT4, FT3, vit D, B12, Ferritin, and Folate. Of the companies listed here - https://thyroiduk.org/help-and-support/private-thyroid-tests-in-the-uk/ - does anyone have advice as to which one to go for? Also, are the finger prick tests

Below are my latest blood results and I'm hoping one of you kind and knowledgable people might be able to give me some guidance. Firstly

Alendronic acid
Since my flair up I've now been on 15mg pred ( up from 7mg)for 3 weeks. Well, iv'e not felt this good in years. I can actually walk properly, walk with a stride and at a decent pace without feeling that my legs are bound by a resistance band. My energy levels are almost normal as some 4 years ago.
