Supplements and testing.

Hi, I have been taking Vitamin D and Folic Acid as my last blood test showed they were both very low. I am due to retest and I am not sure, should I stop taking the supplements before I retest or is it okay to carry on taking them. Thank you in advance for any help.

You continue up to and including the day before the test. On the day of the test take after the blood draw. This will tell you what your dose of the supplement is achieving. If taking Biotin or B Complex or any other supplements containing Biotin then this should be stopped for 3-7 days before the test as it gives false results for any blood test.
