Hearing aides that actually help with tinnitus?
Hello, I have had hearing loss and tinnitus-for approximately 10-15 years. Does anyone know of any hearing aides that help in blocking tinnitus? I had hearing tests & a brain scan as my hearing deteriorated reasonably quickly. I had national health hearing aides but they just made me notice my tinnitus

How to take Levo before a blood test when I split my dose, and feritin level
Dear friends, I would like advice on how to stagger my Levo before my next blood test on 8th. I normally take my 75mcg tab in two halves,, half in the morning and half in the evening. I started doing this because I found that when I took it in one dose it took a long time to feel the benefit, then I

'It was only viral meningitis'
This is the sentence I have had said to me 100 times since going to hospital for 5 nights back in july 2022 for meningitis. I have constantly felt as though I should be grateful and have been told how lucky I am for still being here - which I am but I was discharged as soon as physically possible and

Not yet diagnosed....AN
Hi, I'm 37 and woke up 3 weeks ago with complete hearing loss in 1 ear, severe tinnitus and vertigo. I've been in the slow process of having hearing tests at ENT which show almost complete deafness 😔 The vertigo seems to have subsided which I am thankful for but am just hoping it's not an AN so I

Had my Ent appointment
Hi everyone, I thought I would give a quick update as so many of you kindly responded to my previous post about my sudden hearing loss. I just got home from my Ent follow up after my hearing test and mri. He told me there is no tumour which is great news. Of course I’m thankful for this outcome

Visit to the audiologist
This forum is excellent. Any thoughts from anyone would be much appreciated. I was referred to hospital by my GP in 2018 following several bouts of unexplained deafness. I have had several ear irrigation treatments prior to hospital visits but GP surgery has stopped performing this. My first hospital

Will this go by August?
So it's been just over a month since I've had T caused by clarithromycin. Since I last posted I've seen a high street audiologist for a hearing test and to discuss the T. No hearing loss, which is good right? Hearing loss can make T caused by antibiotics permanent, I've read. The audiologist sent a

D dimer and APS
Even my recovery from severe illness with
heparin
treatment wasnt enough to override the conviction based on the d dimer. I thought others on here with similar experience might find this interesting and useful.

any advice on choice of blood thinners please ?
Do any of you know what the relative risks and side effects are I am a bit wary as in recent major surgery I had
heparin
induced thrombocytopenia . But I guess these other drugs might work differently ?

Tinnitus and dizzy episodes
Hi, I am new to this site. I have been having buzzing in my left ear for months and got dizzyness some mornings (not often) when waking. Only on a period over a few months. My gp thought labyrinthitis. I kept getting it a few times, so was referred to an ENT consultant. Had two hearing tests and left

PD Dialysis - Week 4 day 3 - approved for shower!
She let me know that that was "fibrin" and that she would be adding some
heparin
in my PD solution on Monday to help clear that up. She said I should watch out for that each time I drain.
