Tests for failed implantation - worth it at 43?
Treatment is Aspirin or
Heparin
. I am told that Aspirin shouldn't be taken without the rest as it may cause harm. This seems controversial as my clinic in Greece prescribed mini aspirin in any case.

waiting for a hearing test to check for acoustic neuroma
Hi, I’ve had hearing aids for 8 years due to tinnitus. Recently my left ear feels very different from my right. It feels blocked and very deaf. I’ve also had 2 episodes of really loud tinnitus that I’ve never had before. When the tinnitus calmed down I had a migraine later. I’ve been having more migraines

Hello acoustic shock
Hello everyone, I was shopping online and bought 3 personal alarms for £10 they are advertised for children to take to school by attaching them to their schoolbag and the elderly to raise the alarm if they fall out of a chair for example. So I bought these alarms and they arrived on the 24th June and

I need a quick diagnosis either way, after advise please.
Hi. I had sudden onset tinitus in my right ear in March. After 3 weeks of ignoring it I went to the Dr's. I had drops to clear the wax, which I had to stop after a week due to excruciating pain, and then steroid spray. Because I had continued pain in ear/ right hand side of head, numbness on right side

Ear Wax
Has anyone else had issues getting ear wax removed on the NHS. My sons hearing aid dept say he needs new moulds and an updated hearing test but can't do it due to wax. They don't do removal and his GP now say they don't either. Only option appears to be privately at approx £60/70

I am new to this group. I recently had a sudden onset of Tinnitus around 4 weeks ago. A high pitched tone that is constantly present, and as like many others, it is worse in the nights and mornings. Getting out into the drone of traffic etc helps mask it but it returns as soon as I am in a quiet space

ENT visit
So, I got to see adn ENT after a referral from my GP. However, it wasnt an ENT but a very nice assistant who did a hearing test, which I have had already and also a pressure test. What was interesting was that the pressure test was normal on my "good" ear but could not be performed on my bad ear.

Possible AN on my left, awaiting an MRI but struggling to take my mind off it
Good morning, I've struggled with a bit of tinnitus for a while so eventually contacted my GP about it 2 years ago. I also often feel a bit dizzy and stuff but I'm a long term Hypothyroidism and pernicious anaemia patient, so that kind of comes with the territory! GP sent me to Specsavers for a hearing

aspirin
Well, the largest study to date comparing aspirin to
heparin
(the gold standard in anti-clot treatment) has just been published and the results are clear. Aspirin is at least as effective as
heparin
for clot prevention, and likely safer at that too.

Loud Music
Hi, first post. A couple of months ago after 4 hours at a very loud music venue, I awoke to a hissing in both ears, left worse than right. I’ve found this so stressful in a way that I couldn’t never have imagined before. It feels like the noise has taken over. I’ve been for a hearing test and it’

negative aps long term treatment
I occasionally can’t get my
heparin
injections so know what going without them feels like. I’m well enough on treatment & want to stay that way. Is there any research suggesting APS goes away or should be reconsidered as a Rx?

inaccurate venous inr test
Now I’m 1.7 on
heparin
My home machine has proved accurate . Hospital said they will raise an investigation. They said that last time. The warfarin nurse giving results said it might be bad tubes and viles collecting blood.

why did I not go sooner
hi, I have a large (3cm) acoustic neuroma diagnosed this week. I will find out the recommendation in 2 weeks. I always put my loss of hearing and tinnitus down to stress. But then I started getting a fullness feeling in my ear and had a hearing test and MRI. It worries me about surgery and the not

It’s not hearing loss, it’s Eustachian Tube Dysfunction (they think)
Since having bacterial meningitis in January 2023, my ears have felt sort of blocked. After my follow up appointment a couple of weeks of coming out of hospital, they thought I had lost some hearing. I had a hearing test today- hearing is absolutely fine. They think I may have Eustachian Tube Dysfunction

tinnitus from a kiss
Hi everyone,I want to share my experience . I'm only 18 years old and since a few weeks I've been suffering of tinnitus. I've received a kiss near my right ear and since then I've been hearing noise and pulsanting tinnitus. I still dont know If the cause is the kiss because now I've been hearing it from

Tinnitus spiking after car journey
I have had right sided tinnitus for 4 months brought on initially by a virus and consolidated by Covid 2 months later. I am still trying to understand how it works. So far, I can deal with it during the day although it does spike at times. I have seen GP (quite helpful), ENT consultant (pretty useless

Taken off all meds.
The consultant has taken me off ALL my meds for at least 2 months, and I'm back to injecting my belly with
heparin
daily and on a hefty antibiotic dose. I can take paracetamol but that's it. Just hoping that the RA or the Osteo or both!!

Hello, new here looking for guidance
Hello I've lurked for a couple of months, but this is my first post, I've seen that you are a friendly and supportive bunch, and whilst it breaks my heart that I'm joining your "club" at least I feel I won't be judged. I'm a 60yr old woman and I've had a strange sensation for years and years of suddenly

unilateral hearing loss
I’m a 24year old girl who noticed hearing issues from at least a few years ago. I put it off due to covid and fear that Im too young to have any problems with hearing. 6 weeks ago I took the plunge and had a hearing test and my left ear is severe-profound hearing loss and my right is massively compensating
