So, I got to see adn ENT after a referral from my GP.
However, it wasnt an ENT but a very nice assistant who did a hearing test, which I have had already and also a pressure test.
What was interesting was that the pressure test was normal on my "good" ear but could not be performed on my bad ear.
The ENT specialist then rang me with my results. He said the pressure test could mean I have a perforated ear drum or issues in teh middle ear. He suggested an MRI.
I explained Ive already had an MRI which ruled out teh risk of an aucostic nueroma. He could not access my MRI scans.
I explained about having strange sensations in the side of my face where I hear teh hissing and that I sometimes also get blurred vision on that side. He said it might be arthiristis of teh jaw. I did explain I had seen a sepcilaist who ruled out TMJ issues.
So, he has noe referred me to an ENT specialis for fuerth investigatoins - althoiugh that was teh purpose of thsi vists! He explained that is teh pathway you have to take with the NHS.
