Factor 5 leiden
Soon as I fell pregnant with my 2nd child I went onto
heparin
and warfrin just incase I had another blood clot. My daughter is now 17 and I've just flew back from holiday with a massive clot from my groin right down to my knee. I'm lucky to be alive.

Hi everyone
Following a further PE I was prescribed
Heparin
instead and inject daily. I suffer on a daily basis from headaches, brain fog and fatigue and for the last 6 months have had the most horrendous pain in my ankles regardless of how much walking I do.

A trial of
heparin
produced partial improvement – but full ‘cure’ proved difficult. Finally, a course of treatment with intravenous immunoglobulin (I.V.I.G.) was undertaken. Complete resolution of the St Vitus Dance!

Hi, I am new to this site and thyroid issues so I'd be grateful for some advice as I have my first endo appointment this week.
I was diagonised with stage 4 Hodgkin's lymphoma in oct 2012, 7 different types of chemo and 2 stem cell transplants later I'm still here and hodgkins free for 11 months. Due to treatments I have a non functioning spleen so I was on 961mg septrin, 500mg of amoxicillin & Aciclovir every day. Many meds

Hearing test post bacterial meningitis
My little girl had bacterial meningitis at 10 days old but was aggressively treated and seems to have made a good recovery. She is now 10 months old and we went today for a hearing test ( she has already had one at 2 months old that was fine). I noticed that she didn't react to quiet sounds consistently

B12 & Hearing Loss
Hi! Does anyone else suffer from hearing loss- low pitch sounds? I ask my GP for a referral over 2 years ago for a hearing test. I was told there was nothing wrong with my hearing. I asked for another referral in January 2015. It's taken 6 months to get an appointment. I was at hearing clinic yesterday

I had figured on at least a trial of
heparin
and possibly onto anticoagulants such as warfarin. What is this patient teaching us? Many lessons. Firstly, that Hughes syndrome is very much a ‘neurological’ disease. We have only scratched at the surface of this aspect of the disease.

CLUMPING PLATELETS
So when I subsequently had yet another blood test on February 24th I had 3 samples taken, one to be tested with EDTA, the second to be tested in CITRATE (an alternative chemical) and thirdly another to be tested using Lithium
Heparin
(yet another chemical).

New and confused?!
Then followed a series of p.e's on warfarin,
heparin
and even on both! Then the dvts started. To date I have had 8 p.e's and 4 dvts. I now have an umbrella filter in my aorta which catches the clots. This was put in Feb 2014 after p.e number 8. Am on rivaroxaban 15mg twice a day.
