Ear Problems
Hi, I've been having ear problems for over a year now. Some of the symptoms are a bit hard to describe, but basically its like an ultrasound scan noise that a lady gets when she's pregnant, its like that noise but swooshing about inside my ear like fluid, its only in my right ear and its constant 24

1 positive test, pregnant -advice please...!
I am paying for a private repeat test today before starting the
heparin
tonight. My question is, if this second test comes back negative does that mean I do not have APS? If this is the case I would like to stop the
heparin
(Fragmin) if it is not needed.

Newly diagnosed PE and scared :-(
I've been having daily blood tests,
Heparin
injections and Warfarin tablets but feel very alone and scared. I'm still having some pain in my shoulder, its not bad just uncomfortable. I'm also very, very tired and achy and a little short of breath at times.

Long term effects of bacterial meningitis

ITP and Prothrombin Gene Mutation
After several miscarriages I asked for testing and found out that I also have prothrombin gene mutation and that I will need to inject daily with
heparin
next time I am pregnant.

Hooray - out of hospital but administering
heparin
injections myself along with the warfarin with regular blood tests. I must say my stay at Morriston Hospital, Swansea was like an all inclusive holiday but without the pool, gym & bar - the food excellent and staff so caring.

To all the parents...
My little boy had meningococcal meningitis in March 2013 when he was 1years old, since then we have had several hearing tests due to routine and then I requested some due to his speech. The hearing tests have been clear thankfully but I'm still a little concerned about his speech as he is coming up to

Professor Graham Hughes' Blog October 2015
It was decided to institute what I call our ‘
heparin
trial’. This is a very ‘clinical’ (and probably not very scientific) trial of two to four weeks of
heparin
(low molecular weight
heparin
, e.g. Fragmin 10,000 units daily). The results were dramatic – no more balance problems, headaches gone.

Just seen Professor Cruz with a result I think ?
Prof D'Cruz looked at all my blood work and history and decided I have APS without doubt but because of low levels he is worried about keeping me on the
Heparin
as their is a risk of brain bleeds e.c.t.

Start January.....way more drugs, any advise??
Anyway, he's told us he wants to use asprin,
heparin
and steroids in next round for best possible chance of implantation and preventing rejection. He explained they aren't regulated for fertility treatment, but used a lot and he feels are safe when used correctly.

IVF & when to take blood thinners
I went on aspirin and
heparin
for my next pregnancy that happened very quickly after the 2nd mc. The doctors wanted to wait for a scan before starting the blood thinners to be sure I was not ectopic.

Dental work
My GP said I need to stop my warfarin for a day before and two days after and have
heparin
instead, he said the dentist should arrange this.
