Hearing loss
Hi, I'm 39 and my ears have not been right for 5 months now. I have been told I have fluid in my ears and have been taking antihistamines and using nasal sprays but no better. My hearing is 'down' and after a hearing test at boots they confirmed moderate hearing loss. I currently have another ear infection

Tinnitus and hearing aid with generator
Does anyone sometimes not hear the generator noise in their hearing aid and just the tinnitus at times? I know its tailored to my hearing test and the noises I described. I should have had mine at a higher level as the audiologist wanted but found the level scary at the appointment and she turned it

FCR Cycle 4 (For CLL) - Itchy Rash
Hello all CLL enthusiasts. I have just finished cycle 4 of my 6 cycle FCR treatment after being on 8-9 years W&W. I am on the FLAIR trial, but got randomly sorted into the current treatment. In hindsight I am not too disappointed as FCR is the current gold standard treatment, it hasn't been too bad to

Vitamin D Levels
Rang my GP to ask for my results following my defiency testing in Vitamin B12, Folate, D etc etc... Apparantly everything came back normal but Vitamin D has 'review' next to it for the dr to review with me at my appointment on Monday. My Vitamin D is '32' apparently. Is that deficient? Basically I've

Worried wife
He was admitted to hospital where they have started him on
heparin
. He's been okay in himself except for being breathless for the last few days.

Thoughts about Xarelto and APS
Initially treated with
heparin
. As it turned out I eventually tested positive twice to the drvvt test so APS confirmed.

Crackle and pop
Does anyone else suffer with ears that continually crackle (when moving jaw or trying to pop them through yawning etc)?!? Any idea what it is ( different from tinnitus) During my hearing test I asked if there was a blockage that could be causing the hearing loss I'm experiencing and they most enfatically

Misled and Upset
There have been people on this forum who claim they have been treated with
heparin
/Coumadin/plaquenil DESPITE never having a clot, and that Dr Hughes even treated patients with no thrombolic events AND were sero negative for APS or cardiolipin.

Advice please ? I just want to be prepared for when I am pregnant!
I just scared without gas and air because of my asthma and if I have the epidural could cause the
heparin
to stop working or cause my blood clots to happen.

APS Evolving?
I just wondered if anyone else had experienced similar blood results over a period of time but their APS seemed to be evolving and different medication was prescribed such as
heparin
etc. I am currently on daily aspirin. Thanks Deb

Update, sadly not what I'd hoped.
I've been re-referred to the specialist haematologist (who is listed on the HSF website) to discuss
heparin
injections whist trying to conceive. This is what he says he advises his Hughes patients who have infertility and/or early losses.

So anxious
I've convinced myself my period hasn't come due to the steroids, pessaries, patches and
heparin
injections I'm on as I don't feel pregnant despite my hcg last week coming back good (stupidly I didn't ask the result although that would have been something else to google and agonise over!)

My brain (or lack)
My Rheumy looked at last bloods and said if I ever have to have surgery again I'd need to be in hospital, bridged by IV
heparin
that would be stopped 4 hours before and would I please make sure I don't miss any doses of Rivaroxaban and aspirin! (it's the one med I do not forget!)

Help with specialist consult - doctors confounded in U.S
Seems we have a strong family history (Genetic) that may manifest in younger members of the family with symptoms but no positive APL tests and manifest in older members of the family with strokes and even death despite a warfarin and/or
heparin
regimen.

Here we go again.
I was then prescribed
heparin
injections after my positive pregnancy test at 4 weeks. I've decided against an early scan this time and will wait to see if I get to 12 weeks. I figured there's nothing more that can be done so either the baby will be ok at 12 weeks or not. I'm on the right regime.
