I AM NOT SERONEGATIVE!
When they did the basic tests for APS, at my request, they came back negative, and I discovered that they didn’t believe in “sticky blood” or doing a
heparin
trial, even though I had already had an accidental
heparin
trial, which worked.

Not as bad as I thought
My tummy was soon a patchwork of huge dark bruises from the
heparin
(?) injections and I seemed to be at the anti-coag clinic every day.

Balance and hearing test came back normal!
Just got back from the audiologist and that test was scary at first but I stayed strong and got through it. She said all my eye movements looked completely normal. No nervous system damage or brain maul function. Very happy girl. Now I know it is just the anxiety causing this dizziness/off balance feeling

Hello my name is Jackie and I am 54, I want to tell you my PMR journey briefly to date so have left out some bits, but basically in January this year I had stiff painful hips and knees, so went to my doctor and had my blood tested, I was told all was ok (CRP 9.9 at this point) . Then in the following

Doctor: So ultimately, you went on to aspirin, then
heparin
and now warfarin. How is it going? Patient: Very well, doctor. All the headaches and other funny symptoms have gone. Doctor: What level of warfarin do you need? Patient: I am perfect with an INR (blood thickness) of 3.9 to 4.

Review Appointment Tomorrow - Eeek! Preparation help needed!
•Should I take Aspirin/
Heparin
/DHEA? •How often will I need to visit the clinic (impact on work – stress) •Is it possible to arrange to have scans/tests anywhere closer to home/work? •If this treatment doesn’t work, what next and how soon?

Low Dose Naltrexone/LDN?
I have not been able to do a
heparin
/lovenox trial, and I am not ready to pursue warfarin or anything like that right now. I am started LDN 1.5mg once daily. Any insight from any of you is greatly appreciated!

A little scared
Off aspirin and warfarin, bridge anticoagulation with clexane and then unfractionated
heparin
. I have a liver blood clot already, scared I'll disturb my transplant liver - or bleed...need reassurance. PS My haematologist is so thorough and caring, not critiquing her plan... Karol

My Story
My G.P. was called out and he called for an ambulance, I was rushed to hospital and put on a
Heparin
pump. Following tests I was transferred to the Royal Marsden Hospital in Surrey where further investigation concluded that my primary tumour was in fact a teratoma not a seminoma.

Should I be under the care of a specialist?
I did see a blood specialist at the time for a very brief meeting where I was giving a list of things I would need to do if I got pregnant ( wear support stockings and take
heparin
) and a list of symptoms for DVT and pulmonary thrombosis etc.

Heparin Injections Daily?
Is it usual to have daily
heparin
, initially a 75ml aspirin was suggested so this is ahuge jump? Thanks to all replies to my previous posts.

Disappointed but grateful
Also of interest is that I was on warfarin and
heparin
. It took about an hour to reverse the
heparin
and 18 hours for vitimin k to reduce I.N.R. from 2'.6 to 2. Not exactly a fast acting antidote ( maybe my body is just awkward).

3 Weeks Post Cryoablation
I put it down to the
Heparin
they'd used. I went back on my anti coagulation (apaxiban) the next morning. I had quite a tight chest for the first four days, and was breathless climbing the stairs. But my resting heart rate was normal for me at 60.

Blood thinning/turmeric & fish oil
Examples of prescription blood thinners are warfarin, clopidogrel,
heparin
and ticlopidine. According to MayoClinic.com, in rare circumstances bleeding may occur in the brain due to a ruptured artery. The condition, known as a hemorrhagic stroke, is a life-threatening medical emergency.

Fighter
Thought my allergies were acting up but my sat was in the 80's; I ended up in the ED for a workup; and ended up admitted on a
heparin
drip because of several clots in both my lungs! The subsequent stay and workup found the cancer and so the fight began.

APS or MS ????????
Until that thinned my blood I was on
Heparin
injections also. My bloods went up and down, wouldn't stabilize. At one point they were 5.9 ! I was getting my blood checked regularly as I was going to Florida 9th April, and they weren't settling at same level often enough.
