BAV Valve Replacement
I'm going for checkups at the moment to determine when I will need
surgery
. My
heart
is slightly enlarged currently. I'm wondering whether it's better to get the surgery done sooner rather than later? I think the doctors are torn because I'm very active, fit, and classed as healthy.

Breast Cancer in Men
There was some concern about
surgery
because of my age and low
heart
rate but that's been cleared by the Cardiologist who says just stop the Bisoprolol before surgery. So the surgery option is still open.

Help with symptoms in my 30s
Hi, so this is my first post so please bare with me, I was born with coarctation of aorta, multiples holes and ventricular septal defect. I had 2 open heart surgeries to repair the holes and coarctation of aorta by the time I was 3 months old. I have since been seen yearly by a cardiologist for Echocardiograms

IVIG after heart surgery and stopping IBRUTIMIB
12 months ago I was on an Ibrutinib clinical trial for my CLL. Ibrutinib worked great for me for years. I found out I needed a triple bypass due to 95% LAD artery blockage. Not good! A stent wasn’t an option in my case due to necessity for blood thinners. Can’t do blood thinners, aspirin and Irbutinib

worried in France
Because I live in France, if you go to the
surgery
and say it’s to do with your
heart
, they send you straight to A and E. so I don’t want to do this unless I have to. I take Bisoprolol 1.25 mg twice daily and have Flecainide as PIP.

Pain Relief
I’ve had a Laminectomy for Severe Spinal Stenosis which unfortunately failed and is now worse than before the
Surgery
! I also have
Heart
Failure so I’m very limited in the pain relief I can take. I’m under the Pain Management Clinic at my local hospital.

How long does it take to come around after coma?
Hi, My Dad has been in an induced coma for 11 days and then had a huge heart operation. They started to reduce his sedation day 4 post op, and he opened his eyes and blinked a little on command; then squeezed my Mums hand. They explained and they need to fit a trachi on Monday night, it’s now Wednesday

2nd Ablation for Atrial Tachycardia
After months and months of misery, and my consult with a second EP,.I decided to proceed with a local ablation at Abbott in Minneapolis. I have Atrial Tachycardia/SVT and it has been a long road with no relief from meds, lots of side effects, rough sleep. It was a rough pre-op with my EP recommending

Pains after heart bypass
Hi, had double heart bypass 2 weeks ago and at least once a day I get pains in my neck and chest which ease when I walk about. I did have a partially collapsed lung whilst in hospital and wondered if this was something to do with it. Has anyone ever experienced anything similar? I’m seeing the cardiac

Do you find Doctors don’t physically examine you anymore ?
Had a heart bypass 4 years ago but since then I’ve had two unrelated problems that years ago would have entailed a physical examination- primarily by the doctor before a referral . Ok I’m a woman so I won’t go into the specific details . However I had to sign a form before the date of my referral giving

Apixaban
I have recently been prescribed Apixaban instead of Rivaroxaban. Just wondering if anyone has noticed increased heart palpitations? I'm not in full blown Afib but have had irregular heart now for 5 days, my heart rate is not abnormally high although probably a bit higher than is normal for me. Any

pain in legs and joints
Since I had quadruple heart bypass I was on 11 new tablets .Everything was ok until I’ve been out on some new tablets. Now I am getting cramps, aching joints and I’ve had to stop going with walking groups because of pain in legs. The common denominator here seems to be aspirin,it seems to clash with every

Triple Heart Bypass
Just posting an update on my situation. I am now 5 weeks post op and have been progressing slowly, learning to live with the effects of the op greatly helped by all the responses to my original post. The pain is beginning to subside (very slowly) and my walking has improved and I am doing 30 minutes
