Diet and heart health
Been doing some reading on diet and
heart
health
and came across a study regarding niacin use alongside statins. Was wondering if anyone has any input on diet to help with narrowing of the arteries, lowering bp and cholesterol ratios. I am vegan just to let you know.

1 month out from RF ablation for asymptomatic afib
Hi. I was diagnosed with afib in late 2019 at age 66 and put on an anti-coag and sotalol. I was in and out of afib quite regularly but rarely symptomatic. Three cardioversions failed to restore normal sinus rhythm (NSR) for any real length of time, so ablations were suggested (I live in the US.) Since

Edoxaban causing breathlessness?
Does anyone else get this issue? I was put on this medication in August. Came off Apixaban for same issue. I get it late morning then teatime. It is getting less severe as I recover from a long series of chest infections. I have been diagnosed as having āflutterā which can bring on AF. I await an ablation

Safe INR level for Ablation?
I am one week from my first cyro ablation and my blood INR is 1.2. Most recommend a value between 2.0 and 3.0. What are folks' knowledge and experience in this area? Might I be canceled as, according to these numbers from today's tests, the Pradaxa hasn't thinned my blood much. Are these the cases where

8 days post ablation
What a week?! I had an RF ablation at the start of last week but felt, what I thought, was excessive pain in my chest (particularly when lying on my back) 2/3 days after but just stuck with it thinking it was a standard recovery symptom for RF as Iād only had cryo done before. However on Thursday night

Random Blood Pressure Spikes
Recently I have woken early morning feeling weird. Checking BP found it to be sky high (e.g. 200/90). This has only occurred a few times seemingly random. I end up with being given ACE tablets which do reduce my normal readings which are in fact quite reasonable e.g. 130ish/80ish (after learning how

Should I be concerned of this spot?
15m, I am very worried about this kind of noticeable yellow spot on my upper chest, should I be concerned of this. FYI there is no pain, and I woke up in the morning and it was just there, I also don't remember getting a bruise.

Are my symptoms consistent with B12 deficiency especially burning sensation.
Hi Hoping people can tell me if some weird symptoms I'm having are consistent with B12 deficiency. I'm in the UK London. I have started getting burning skin sensations - feels like someone applied deep heat when I wasn't looking. I get these on my forearms, shoulders, patches on my upper back. They

Chest Pain, fear of heart attack.
Hi, Iām 20 year old man. Iāve suffered with anxiety a while but like donāt want to blow this off to it but it could be. So I had this sudden crushing chest pain 2 days ago, went into instant panic attack. Sat down with my mum and could talk and walk around but was fearing I was having a heart attack.

Struggling with mental health regarding my heart condition
Hiya I am 38 and was diagnosed with heart failure last year, I have young kids and although I feel generally well, I am really struggling with it and find it really hard not to dwell on it. They have told me it is severe as function is at 30% even though I feel well and they are now considering ablation

CHD
My Mum died 11 days ago from CHD, My Dad had a triple heart bypass, 6 and half years ago. And sadly died 8 weeks later, CHD was one of the cause. What are the chances of me developing this?
