Discharged with inr of 1.5
Hello everyone. I was in the hospital Sunday/Monday due to INR to high, 7.1 or so, It caused a serious and unrelenting bloody nose. While n the ER I received two bags of FFP (Fresh Frozen Plasma) & a 5 mg vvitamin K shot. They discharged me with INR of 1.5, they would not give me anything to start thinning

Terrified to start tis drug
Reading these posts is terrifying - it seems the medication causes pain - I have been undiagnosed with this for I believe about a decade and had my worst flare this May lasting til December with swollen ankles and knee pain... one rheumy told me my number of 20 was nothing - sees numbers in the 1000s

Disappointed and worried.
Despite having the flu jab it looks like I've fallen foul of the lurgy and have another chest infection. It wouldn't be such a problem, but I'm only back to work a couple of weeks ago having had an awful chest infection all over Christmas and into the New Year and have had to cancel my night shift tonight

Is my ME really vaccine damage????
Hi everyone, I haven't posted in a long while, but recently I have been listening to a documentary series called 'Vaccines Revealed'. It is a series of 9 programmes discussing the scientific research behind adverse reactions to vaccines. I worked in Healthcare all my life and was pro-vaccine, but this

Why do I now have emphysema 10+ years after I gave up smoking?
Hi everyone, I have just turned 43 and was diagnosed yesterday with emphysema, I am awaiting further scans to determine what stage. As a child growing up in South Africa I was prone to bronchitis, I used to get bronchitis at least twice a year, every year. My dad smoked around the kids so obviously this

Vaccines, or not, incl flu jabs
Anyone of a certain age will be encouraged by their doctor to have a vaccine. Anyone with RA will be encouraged earlier in life! Right now there is are some videos streaming purporting to explain that vaccines are not necessarily a good thing. This is primarily to do with the way the vaccine is "stabalised

Reoccurring chest infections since 2012- any advice and solutions?
Reoccurring chest infections since 2012- been reading threads on here about this as a lot of people seem to pinpoint their first chest infection in 2012- is this just coincidence or is there a prevalent strain in london at that time? I've had 3-4 chest infections per year since then- had one at Christmas

Asthma suddenly worse after 30 years of being well
Hello everyone and happy new year, I'm hoping to get some advice. I had bad asthma in childhood but it's been well controlled with a preventative inhaler since my teens, with only occasional use of my blue ventolin puffer. I'm 51 now and caught a bad cold at the start of December (despite a flu jab

Confused by what nurse told me
After years of wheezing and then struggling to breath I was told I had Asthma, but the inhalers had little effect. I moved doctors and when I asked about a program for my Asthma I was sent to the practice's nurse. I had several tests and then more tests a couple of months later, I had to blow in to a

Stopped T3 - feel dreadful!
Hi everyone! I'm after a bit of advice. I went to see an endocrinologist a few weeks ago and my T3 level was pretty high (I've been self-sourcing after another private doctor told me a couple of years ago my levels were 'disastrous'). The endo suggested that I stopped T3 and just carried on with the

Flu jab
I was meant to have the flu jab a couple of weeks back and I didn't. I had it last year the day before Christmas Eve and felt so ill. Even putting the pressies round the tree the next day brought me out in a sweat...and I felt fluey all over Christmas which obviously spoilt it a bit with fibro on top

Do undertreated Thyroids make things like flu and colds worse do you think
So I’ve had the flu, no I don’t mean cold, I mean flat out in bed for a fortnight unable to move feeling like death flu. The other half has said that they have never seen me look so ill even after I had my appendix out, Mind you the fact that my TSH is 58 at the moment I don’t suppose is helping, yes

Flu jab.
Yesterday I had my fourth cycle of chemo and avastin. I was advised by the chemo nurse to get a flu jab. I phoned my doctors surgery this morning and they said they're so sorry but I'm not eligible. I need to get it done at a chemists. It's not the money I'm bothered about but the principle. Surely
