Iron Infusion Query
Hi there Have looked back at older posts on this topic but wondered if anyone has had an iron infusion when their ferritin level is low (mine’s 19 range 10-120) but their
haemoglobin
has been over 11?

Blood Test Results - some changes
From what I can see the
haemoglobin
estimation and MCV are in normal ranges which should mean that I don't have iron deficiency, but I do have B12. As usual, the MCH and MCHC are elevated. There is also an increased level of percentage monocytes and percentage lymphocytes.

Hi! I'm new here. I have hypothyroidism and want to know how to treat it. I would love to treat it naturally if possible.
Also my
haemoglobin
is 11.9 and my platelets are 129. Everything else checked was fine. I have light spasms in my tummy, especially after eating.

CKD and Low Haemoglobin and RBC
My father is under treatment for CKD for last 24 months now. We are seeing creatinine now at 2.1mg/dl and lower protein loss. However, the blood (CBC) metrics are showing a negative movement with hemoglobin at 9 and RBC much lower than minimum requirement and WBC/platelets high. This seems to be anemia

All other readings fine -
haemoglobin
, thyroid, sugar, etc. This is after I visited my GP mid Oct complaining of numbness and tingling in left foot (noticeable a couple of months ago) and just starting a little in other extremities. No other problems and feeling good otherwise.

You can live without food for days and perhaps months... You can live without water for days. But, how long can you survive without oxygen? Perhaps not more than a couple of minutes

Acalabrutinib Update
Platelets are up, as is
haemoglobin
. The spleen, which at the start of treatment would have won prizes at the county fair, can now not be felt. So feeling pretty pleased.

Neurological Symptoms - non dietary B12 deficiency
All of my bloods I am told have been textbook perfect (except for my D-dimer which was elevated @ 1300+ and was due to the PE) until last week when my B12 came back at 184 and a sickledex blood test came back positive for sickle cell trait,
haemoglobin
S-36%.

Abnormal blood count ?steroids?
All has come back abnormal with increased levels in white blood count,
haemoglobin
, platelets, red blood cells, lymphocytes etc. I’m wondering if this is caused by prednisalone and is a normal occurrence. Waiting for advice from gp.... Thank you in advance, Claire.

GP says I am not anaemic but I am B12 deficient. I am confused!
I said I was concerned I might have PA and she said I was not anaemic because I had a full blood count and had had adequate
haemoglobin
levels for years. I pointed out that elevated MCV is a sign of magaloblastic anaemia but she reiterated I am not anaemic.
