I was tested positive for PA and the GP asked for a full blood test to check iron levels. From what I can see the haemoglobin estimation and MCV are in normal ranges which should mean that I don't have iron deficiency, but I do have B12.
As usual, the MCH and MCHC are elevated.
There is also an increased level of percentage monocytes and percentage lymphocytes. I am not feeling 100% at the moment, so I wonder if it is simply a viral thing. I am just tired mentally and physically, no appetite and unusually not in a good mood.
Have any of you any knowledge of what these levels could mean? I've asked about the MCH and MCHC before - these are nearly always elevated but the GP says it is nothing to worry about.

If your Pernicious Anaemia is being treated correctly , with sufficient injections and perhaps a modest 400 mcg tablet of folic acid daily , your MCH & MCHC levels should eventually normalise .
Thank you both - I have been taking B12 injections very regularly for more than a year but this has not affected the MCH/MCHC but these are not elevated by much.
Monocytosis and lymphocytosis are commonly seen in viral infections, and will typically resolve some time after recovery but might take some time as your immune system is still busy. If your doctor is happy then that's a good place to start. The 'There's a lot of it about' answer isn't initially helpful but probably accurate. Stick with it.
