Advice on platelets and haemaglobin
Any ideas on how to keep platelets,
haemoglobin
and white bloods cells up so chemo 6is not put off. Resting and eating well but is there anything else I can do?

Worried
Yesterday he got a phone call saying his blood tests that were taken on Monday showed that he may have a bleed as
haemoglobin
levels had dropped so he is further bloods taken today. Over the last few days he has become more confused and I don’t know why? Any advice would be gratefully received.

MF transplant update - days +21 to +40
On Day +38 the neutrophil count disappeared and my
haemoglobin
was 54. The usual 2 units of red blood followed. On Day +40 my neutrophils were 0.17 and
haemoglobin
60. By the way, most MF transplantees do eventually engraft.

Good news! LFT
Also tested my
haemoglobin
and it's normal. Would celebrate but all that deep breathing, breath holding and puffing out leaves me wiped out. However I don't care if I'm wrecked for a day or three. I'm just too happy with the result.

Breathlessness
This condition results in too-large red corpuscles and low
haemoglobin
, hence lack of available oxygen. If this fails I will ask for a B12 and ferritin blood test. I do have stomach and absorption problems (gluten intolerance) so B12 deficiency would fit.

Still cannot get injections reinstated
Spoke alot but she didnt seem to agree with alot of evidence i produced, like my mean cell
Haemoglobin
was quite high last year, and i did mention that large blood cells is to do with b12, she said that she wouldn’t give injections but could see levels dropping, and so said she will re test them in December

Iron/Ferritin levels
My
haemoglobin
level is normal so my GP isn't too concerned. I have been prescribed iron supplements (3 x ferrous fumarate 210mg a day). I am taking it along with vitamin C tablets. My question is, how quickly will my ferritin levels improve? What are people's experiences?
