Do my lab results look normal?

I've just got my lab results back from my full blood count and B12 test and am wondering whether they look normal? They appear to fall within the normal ranges although my RBCs and haematocrit are on the lower end of the scale and my MCV and MCH are on the high end of the scales. I have an appointment with my new doctor in two weeks to discuss these results, but they have been marked as "normal - no action needed" I'm worried that this will put us back to square one :-(

Thank you!

B12/folate level

Serum vitamin B12 level 257 ng/L [180.0 - 900.0]

Serum folate level 6.8 ug/L [4.0 - 20.0]

Serum ferritin level 20 ug/L [15.0 - 200.0]

<15 IDA confirmed, 15-40 IDA possible, 41-100 IDA less likely.

>100 IDA excluded, >300 possible Iron overload.

Hi

I'm sure someone with more knowledge than me will be along, but your folate and ferritin are on the low side, although just within 'normal' range.

Your mean cell haemoglobin is high (just above normal reference range), which can be an indicator of anemia due to low B vitamins or iron.

It's so frustrating that your dr has marked the results as being normal and not requiring follow up as something is clearly a little off.

Do you have symptoms? What's your diet like?

Hi BlackInk, thank you so much for your response.

It is very frustrating that they've been marked as normal - normal for me could well be a completely different set of values and the values of the above results could actually be abnormal for me!

I have a myriad of symptoms which have been plaguing me for years now, overwhelming exhaustion (at my worst I was sleeping 16 hours a day), weight loss, blue nail beds, recurring bouts of glossitis, breathlessness (since the age of 22 I have often struggled to get up a normal set of stairs), daily headaches, such terrible brain fog that my short term memory is suffering significantly. I feel like I'm losing my life to exhaustion and just want to get to the bottom of it :-(

Apologies, I forgot to mention my diet. My diet is pretty well balanced - I eat plenty of veg, meat and fish, try to keep carbs to one small portion per meal and I eat a fair amount of dairy.
