Trelstar?
I see now that Trelstar is an LHRH agonist drug like Lupron and I know that Firmagon is a gonadotrophin-releasing hormone (
GnRH
) antagonist. All work to lower T levels.

Anyone suffering problems years after taking Zoladex or another GnrH Analog?
I was on Zoladex for two years (2007-2009). I have suffered severe health problems ever since - I was first diagnosed with ME while on Zoladex, now they are saying fibromyalgia but many of my symptoms don’t fit that. I’ve been trying to figure it out for a long time with no help at all from doctors

GnRH side effects
I wondered how long the hot flush side effect of zoladex/gonapeptal subsided? I’m 8 weeks post my last injection, and this is just becoming a bit of a joke. I haven’t had a period yet but the pain side of endo came back around 4 weeks ago, no where near as extreme as it was so I’m expecting it to get

Really useful info from endo specialist *worth reading *
They teach patients that
GNRH
agonist therapy after incomplete endometriosis surgery will "get rid of" or "kill off" any remaining disease. This is simply NOT TRUE! Gynecologists also often quote hysterectomy with removal of the ovaries to be "definitive treatment for endometriosis.

My letter to head of endo centre asking/demanding for care
concerns are; 1.That the treatment that has been offered to me is inadequate 2.That my care is not being managed by the most appropriate service 3.That my referral to ‘the specialist endo centre’ was rejected on grounds of the referral coming from my GP. 1.The only treatment I have been offered is

New to site
I was then sent away with
GNRH
which I reacted badly too ( I am a teacher and felt like I was constantly going to faint) so I stopped taking it. My GP then prescribed me Mefanaemic acid tablets to take during my period to lessen the pain.

Prostap and HRT
My consultant has now started me on the
Gnrh
Prostap injection and has also put me onto HRT tablets (Livial). Touching wood at the moment, one week in, i'm not feeling any different apart from the bleeding.
