They teach patients that GNRH agonist therapy after incomplete endometriosis surgery will "get rid of" or "kill off" any remaining disease. This is simply NOT TRUE! Gynecologists also often quote hysterectomy with removal of the ovaries to be "definitive treatment for endometriosis.

I was then sent away with GNRH which I reacted badly too ( I am a teacher and felt like I was constantly going to faint) so I stopped taking it. My GP then prescribed me Mefanaemic acid tablets to take during my period to lessen the pain.

My consultant has now started me on the Gnrh Prostap injection and has also put me onto HRT tablets (Livial). Touching wood at the moment, one week in, i'm not feeling any different apart from the bleeding.

Hi everyone My consultant has just started me on GnRH injections, once a month for six months I’ve felt horrendous for most of this week but I think that might because I stopped taking the norethisterone tablets so I had a mega period.

Has any one done this injection before for endo? I did it couple of days ago, and having worser pains than usual! Im currently admitted to the hospital since last night. I was going to have an lap and laser surgery next month, suddenly cancelled! I dont even know what the plans are while im here

I finally got told i should do the gnrh injection but doctors did say that might not even help at all. So i found an private doctor who is known is harley street - dr gazvanj.

Hi there How are you? I am coming to the end of my 3 month Decapeptyl injection and now starting to spot black blood and endure right sided anterior mid thigh pain. I have opted for no more injections due to the horrific side effects and still waiting for my consultant contacting me with date for hysterectomy

Zoladex and those GNRH analogs that turn off your natural hormones and put you into menopause. 4. Radical surgery removing ovaries and uterus.

Hi I was wondering if anyone had had the gnrh analogues, I’m currently on prostrap, where they found that there symptoms got better to begin with but the then have got gradually worse again. If you had this and then had a hysterectomy did you find any benefit? Thanks

Hi ladies, Could you pls tell me if you have ever heard about symptoms NOT coming back after finishing GNRH courses, at least for some longer time? Pls tell me if yes. I actually know somebody who says she was healed from it for years... I very much in need of some hope...
