Help with diagnosis
My husband has had chest pain for 20+ years. He was initially diagnosed as having angina but when all investigations came back clear, he was "dismissed" by cardiologist and GP alike. His last appointment back then was with a registrar who said he thought it was coronary artery spasm but nothing was ever

Question regarding symptoms and dizzy/cold sweat episode
Recently Diagnosed with Angina, CAD of the LAD. Reading up on this states chest aching/discomfort should go on taking aspirin and GTN but I have constant aching and discomfort in my chest - is this normal symptoms or unstable angina? Also woke up in the middle of the night feeling unwell, went to bathroom

RE- Hand Sanitiser
I have made up my own sanitiser after reading the advice from WHO. Use Isopropyl alcohol or 150% proof Grain Alcohol. Then fill 70% of a pump bottle with the alcohol, then few drops of glycerine for moisturiser or aloe vera and maybe tea tree for fragrance then top up with water. I couldn't get glycerine

Waiting forever after complications with an Angiogram
Hi all, New here. Had a heart attack in early July last year and had no idea that I had suffered one - no chest pain, just dizziness, nausea and pain in my arms and back more akin to muscle aches after exercise (I also thought I had some sort of gastric reflux and swigged a load of Gavescon). Anyway,

Post stent
Hi I’m new here. Had a heart attack on the 13th of this month. Cardiac care superb and stent fitted on the 20th. Since discharge home have had arm pain and yesterday an angina attack which resolved with GTN spray. Naively I thought that with the artery opening up with the stent that this would solve

RECENT EPISODE on 24 January 2020
Though I had experience of knocking sensation before but last Friday's episode was really dreadful after my dinner. On sitting I felt a pressure on mid-chest area, it was something like I have been locked from inside and can get relief if I have some belching. Noted the BP which was high 180/70 HR 78

Unstable angina
Hubby is 53 had 2 previous mi's and 4 stents. He has been fairly stable for well over a year apart from pain when he overdoes things. He is on high dosages of all the normal "heart" meds. On sat 11th of Jan he suddenly had 2 episodes of chest pain, eased with gtn spray but still had dull ache for quite

Update, still got discomfort
Still got discomfort in the top of my chest, under my left arm and neck. Does not get worse on exertion and even disappears sometimes. GTN does improve it. Doctor says it’s almost certainly not my heart as it does not get worse with exertion ? Doc says Could be the meds but thinks it’s to early after

7 months post stent issue
Hi there I am a 53 year old builder who has always been very active and lived a fairly healthy lifestyle. I had a heart attack on 19th May, complete shock and had 2 stents fitted. Thankfully no damage to heart and I was able to return to work after 6 weeks. I have had aching across the back of my shoulders

Shoulder blade pain
I had small heart attack at the beginning of Dec & one stent fitted. I am now experiencing ache/pains in my shoulder blade. When I spoke to the cardiac nurse was told to use gtn spray. The problem is it is becoming more frequent since Ny eve & just read you should not to use your spray often. Not sure

Had my CT heart scan today...
Finally got into the X-ray department, after waiting since first GP appointment in June. Thought I would just explain the procedure, in case anyone else is having one soon and worrying about what to expect, although I know the hospital leaflets do explain it quite clearly. I took my normal betablocker

First intervention and stent possibly not solving things?
I recently saw a comment here on intervention, stent and meds not always solving things first time. Has anyone experienced this please? I had a mild nstemi and one stent fitted just over 5 weeks ago but am still getting on and off soreness and discomfort, sometimes up to 3 or 4 out of 10 pain level but

constipation caused by amitriptyline
I`ve been on amitriptyline for many years for different reasons. Due to a period of insomnia I recently had to increase it to 75 mgs which made my IBS-C much worse. I am slowly reducing the dose and am now back to 50mgs and aiming to reduce further - but the constipation is still bad. I`m taking fybogel

Angina pain despite clear coronaries?
Well my angiogram done yesterday, and not as easy as I was led to believe, apparently my radial artery is tiny, hence a lot of pain initially. However I think I slept through the rest!! Now I am confused, cardiologist who was not the most approachable of men, said arteries where clear but my coronary
