Hi I’m new here. Had a heart attack on the 13th of this month. Cardiac care superb and stent fitted on the 20th. Since discharge home have had arm pain and yesterday an angina attack which resolved with GTN spray. Naively I thought that with the artery opening up with the stent that this would solve my problems. I know it’s early days and I’m anxious but any comments would be appreciated.

Hi Katjen. Sorry to hear you haven’t had a full recovery and that you’re not back to normal. Would be a good idea to ring your cardio nurse and talk about this. Was the angina attack when you were at rest or moving around?

Your arm pain might not be heart related. Mine hurt quite a bit from the angiogram/stenting process. Did they say that rest of your heart was clear? Sometimes they can’t get to every blockage because of where they are. It is still very early days but do use the links and contacts you have at this time. They won’t mind you getting in touch.

Thank you NorthantsSteve, pain in the left arm and angioplasty in the right arm. Now in A&E being checked out, on GPS advice. Thank you so much for your reply.
