I had small heart attack at the beginning of Dec & one stent fitted. I am now experiencing ache/pains in my shoulder blade. When I spoke to the cardiac nurse was told to use gtn spray. The problem is it is becoming more frequent since Ny eve & just read you should not to use your spray often. Not sure what to do for the best.

Shoulder blade pain
Hi I still get shoulder blade discomfort 6 months after HT, got told not to worry! Also stents can rake at least 12 months to settle!! Try not to worry too much! Contact your doctor if it's stressing you!!!
Hi ask your GP you could ask for a phone appointment
I have left shoulder blade pain after stents and was told it can be angina. Also that it’s better to use GTN than to have angina. If the GTN doesn’t stop the pain after 2 close applications then we are told to seek medical help.
However!
The spray apparently reduces lots of symptoms, not just angina (as it simply opens the blood vessels). So if your pain reduces after a spray, it doesn’t confirm that your pain was angina.
Not sure this is clear.......
When I have pain in shoulder blades I have blockage. Its my tip off to see Cardio and it always results in a stent..I have had stents fail twice and had to go back for redo and pain between shoulder blades was my tip off..so I would see my dr
