sorry to bother everyone.. i suffer from mva.. usually angina pain occurs across my chest.. but since a few hours ago i’ve been experiencing a tightness across upper abdo just under both breasts radiating through to my back along with breathlessness.. to those who may have more knowledge than i do.. could this pain also be linked to the angina?.. took 2 doses of gtn spray which seemed to alleviate the problem but now it has returned lol

As the pain is different than usual and you are also breathless ring 111 for advice or if it worsens 999. Do one or the other now!

Please update us when you can afterwards.

it’s susbsided Michael.. but if it comes back during the night i’ll call 111.. i’m due to see Cardiologist next Monday.. will definitely mention it to him.. as you said.. it’s a different type of pain.. not sharp more like someone pulling something tight and constricting my breathing

Hi Manhattan1

I live with Microvascular and vasospastic angina.

My Cardiologist's instructions to me are that if my angina pain changes in anyway, in location, intensity or frequency my breathing is effected time to go into hospital.

When I experience a really severe vasospasm it feels like the air is being squished out of my lungs and I can't breathe in along with crescending angina pain at rest.

Please call 111 or 999 if you have angina particularly at rest or you feel breathless

Take care of yourself

I do suffer from pain exactly as you described and have always linked it to angina. It’s more a feeling of discomfort rather than a sharp pain, as if you are being squeezed around your upper abdomen.
