I agree with Dovaston,
Please call 111 or 999 if in any doubt. Chest pain needs to be investigated .
Never feel you are wasting anybody's time.
Do get back to us when you have been checked out
I see from previous replies that you’re a woman with MVA. You must call 111/999 if you have a pain that’s different from normal. You really aren’t wasting anyone’s time. I’m sure you would advise someone you love who has your condition to do the same. Please take care of yourself.
Please don't think heart pain is normally on left or central - I have never had that. Mine is in my jaw and in my back between shoulder blades. Always at least ring 111 if GTN hasn't worked.
I had similar pain? Still don't know why? But 999 is the thing to do! If gtn makes no difference then it's either serious or nothing seriously wrong, and you won't know which?
thanks for all replies.. had 2 doses of gtn.. pain subsided.. if it returns will definitely contact 111 for advice.. once again thanks to everyone for their support and advice ..
Hi Manhattan1, I recently had right-sided chest pain that wouldn’t go with GTN. I eventually called 999 when it spread to arms and left side. I think you should get it checked out. 111 would not be wasting anybody’s time, it would be sensible because it can be hard to diagnose chest pain. In my case, after two ECGs and two blood tests, I was diagnosed with likely gall stones. Have a CT scan booked at the weekend. Don’t be afraid to get symptoms checked out, no one will berate you for make by that call.
probably unrelated to the chest discomfort last night.. call from pharmacist today.. he received letter from Cardiologist requesting thst ivabradine be increased from 5mg to 10mg daily this on top of isorobide being increased from 50mg to 100mg daily... bit surprised regards ivabradine increase as wasn’t mentioned st Cardiology appt 4 weeks ago. also suggested buying bp monitor that includes function to detect irregular heartbeat.. followed his advice and bought one from Boots👍
