I continue to receive a number of requests for the specific supplements I take. Here is my story and an updated list of specific supplements. All supplements chosen were made on the basis of cancer research reviewed mainly through pubmed.gov. Doses were more challenging and were derived from the experiences

Hey I'm new ti the group I was told three years ago I had type 2 and they placed me on metformin. I took the meds for about year. In the meantime while going to get my A1c checked where they always came back as normal. Go back to a different doctor where they tell me I'm not a diabetic and never was.

Asking Local MO to add Avodart and Metformin to Xtandi
I am trying to bone up for a local MO second opinion next week. Supposedly, this MO believes in scans and may not pawn us off on the nurse like the other local MO has been doing. My husband takes Xtandi and recently they added Casodex again. Because so many here have mentioned adding Avodart and/or

Metformin.
This is in response to a recent negative Metformin post. I have posted this vlog offering from Dr. Myers before but some might not have seen it: https://askdrmyers.wordpress.com/2015/01/13/metformin-prostate-cancer/ Here is the study that Myers found so convincing: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed

MOs for some perspective and second opinion??
Gleason 7 (4+3, and some 5). I had recurrent oligometastatic PCa after RP and salvage radiation. We zapped the met with SBRT and I’m currently on Lupron and Casodex. I have a very smart MO at Dana Farber in Boston, but he is “conventional.” He wants to try six months of ADT and see what happens. I

Statin use and survival in metastatic castration-resistant PCa treated with abiraterone or enzalutamide after docetaxel failure.
New study below [1]. I believe that in the U.S. more than half of men my age are using a statin. On the other hand, I sense antipathy towards statins among many who are not using them. Certainly, there are sites such as Mercola's that contain dire warnings. In my case, I had no interest in lowering

So, I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 15 years old. I am now 27.. so yeah been living with it for a quite a while. I met my now husband back in 2008 and we knew from the start we wanted 3 children. That was our goal! So we got married and began trying to no avail. We were referred to a fertility clinic

Have I got Pernicious Anaemia ?
I was diagnosed by my GP as having Pernicious Anaemia around 5 years ago, I assume this was after one of my regular blood tests for type 2 Diabetes. Since then I have been having 1ml. injections of Hydroxocobalamin / Vitamin B12 at the surgery, originally every 12 weeks. However, as I didn't seem to
