cold virus and CLL
I have just finished my first month taking Imbruvica. It has been a bit bumpy, but I am okay. My husband has been away for a week and is coming home today. He just let me know that he has caught a pretty bad cold. I plan to mask and will ask him to mask, I’ll sleep in a separate room, and I won

feeling cold
This is my first post but been watching others for a while. background - my last fet was positive and then at viability scan there was nothing there so they said it was chemical. I did feel cold between the test and scan but it was over Christmas! I had my tsh measured and it was raised. Since then

Flu jab
I am on Predisnolone for an ILD, and had flu jab 3 days ago, now I seem to have flu. Is this usual as never had problems with it before, and will it last longer than normal with the reduced immunity? Thank you, Paul.

Thiamine......a missing piece in the puzzle?
Hi all As we know thiamine is very much a hotly debated topic in many of the communities (not just Parkinson's) and one of (if not THE) the main reasons is to do with dosing and the various B1 derivatives. I've been doing some heavy research myself in the last few weeks and decided to go back to the

Abiraterone-Related Hypokalemia
New paper - anecdotal case. [1] Abiraterone-related hypokalemia is presumably rare. However, it's probably a good idea to keep an eye on potassium levels. "Hypokalemia is a low level of potassium (K+) in the blood serum. Mild low potassium does not typically cause symptoms. Symptoms may include feeling

Pain worse when ill (cold/flu)
hello! I am on the waiting list for a diagnostic lap to check for endometriosis which I do have a lot of the symptoms for. I’m currently under the weather with a pretty bad cold. But my endo symptoms seem to be worse while I’m ill. I’m in so much pain which is radiating around my back and into my legs

Will a cold stop chemo?
Hello everyone. My first chemo is planned for Thursday but I’ve started with a bloody cold today (sniffles and sneezes, no temperature as yet) - do you think it’ll stop my treatment going ahead?

Covid and flu vaccines
Managed to get both my Covid booster and seasonal flu vaccines today. They even had a large TV screen following the funeral.

A Cold & surgery
I’ve got a cold for the past few days. I feel ok at the monent, but previous colds have ended up affecting my chest. I know what to do if it does set my asthma off, but I’m due surgery on 29th September. I’m worried now that this cold could possibly delay my surgery (which I’ve waited month for). Is

Flu vaccination priority
Can anyone explain to me why my local GP practice appears to have put me in the general age banding of the over 50s category for flu vaccination instead of following guidelines written out by the NHS? I’m over 60 (but not yet 65) and the NHS online site concerning the flu jab is quite clear on this

Children’s live flu nasal spray
Morning, my Granddaughters are about to have their annual flu jab, which here in the UK is a live nasal spray. I know I need to keep away from them for a while, but cannot find anything on the NHS website to suggest how long for. Does anyone know or have had experience of this? Thanks
