This is my first post but been watching others for a while.
background - my last fet was positive and then at viability scan there was nothing there so they said it was chemical. I did feel cold between the test and scan but it was over Christmas! I had my tsh measured and it was raised. Since then I have had tsh measured at various points but it has bounced around - latest one few weeks before transfer was it was normal. Basically I am worried that the tonnes of drugs I am taking has effected tsh and that this fet is going to end in the same way.
I had my transfer on Wednesday, I’m now feeling really cold - has anyone else experienced this? I’m also really tired could that be making me cold? Everything I read says should be hot but is that later on?

I am no expert but yes I beleieve tiredness can make you cold. I tend to feel cold too, never really got to the bottom of it but I layer up, warm drinks, exercise (obviously cautiously if in 2ww). Re your TSH are you taking something to keep this stable? I take Levothyroxine and have regular checks on this xx
hello, no real insight here but thought I’d share my own experience. I usually feel really cold and I can’t quite explain it. After my last transfer my feet and hands were freezing so I wore socks and gloves to bed - mind you this was during the heatwave! I asked two doctors who offered zero insight, so is probably nothing to be worried about xx
it indeed implanted but was a chemical like your case, lasted about 10 days. The doctor suspected it’s an embryo abnormality but I’m doing some blood work as well (including thyroid levels) to rule other stuff out. I personally think it was my body reacting to implantation as I did feel the embryo implant a few hours beforehand.
To answer your other question yes it’s quite common to feel cold when you’re tired, medically it’s the body’s normal reaction. So it could be implantation, your hormones or tiredness.
thank you, sorry you had to go through it too, especially at your scan. Keeping everything crossed that this is your time 🙂
it’s definitely a step in the right direction because it means your body is receptive (ie has adequate progesterone levels and lining is fine) and my doctor also said it can increase the likelihood of pregnancy in subsequent attempts xx
Hi Sos2509 I think this is probably normal. Throughout the first trimester of my first pregnancy I was freezing. Pretty much everything I read said about pregnancy making you feel warmer, but I did find a few people who'd also experienced feeling unusually cold throughout their first trimester, so it is a thing just less common than feeling warmer. Hopefully the coldness you're experiencing is a good sign.
been keeping feet warm and when I am in control eating warm foods! Having an acupuncture session today so hoping that will help with blood flow too! Thanks for being honest!
The acupuncturist will be able to diagnose your condition by looking at your tongue and feeling your wrist..... Will then help you to resolve your condition.
M no expert but just wanted to share some facts and my experience. If u implant your body temperature rise a bit i.e. by 1 degree so that can make you feel cold and thats very normal. I also read that one can have hot flashes but during my first trimester I felt cold even it was hot summers. So it's very normal and not related to chemical or normal pregnancy. Both results in high basal body temperature and thus feeling cold.
