I am on the waiting list for a diagnostic lap to check for endometriosis which I do have a lot of the symptoms for.
I’m currently under the weather with a pretty bad cold. But my endo symptoms seem to be worse while I’m ill. I’m in so much pain which is radiating around my back and into my legs. I never usually experience back or leg pain but I am while ill.
does anybody else find with having Endometriosis they pick up coughs and colds easily? I only had a cold in April and seem to have several a year.
thanks!

Your endo will get your immune system to react like an infection, so you can feel tired mentally and physically, headachy etc. I had flu like symptoms every two weeks for decades if I wasn't on the pill. You're also probably going to be more prone to actual infections as your immune system is confused by the endo.
It seems to me, and this is just my opinion, that the immune system senses that there is something in the abdomen that shouldn't be but because it is your own cells growing somewhere they shouldn't it isn't detecting that they're the problem.
There’s a lot of research and evidence now that the root of endo is a dysfunctional immune system and it may well be an autoimmune issue. Especially the CD4/CD8 levels. The hormone chaos being a consequence rather than start of the process. So yes, our immune systems will be really challenged and confused. Infections ramp up an already overstressed system to feel much worse than others, sometimes not coping but it will also trigger the inflammation caused by the endo tissue. Double whammy.
