Hello everyone. My first chemo is planned for Thursday but I’ve started with a bloody cold today (sniffles and sneezes, no temperature as yet) - do you think it’ll stop my treatment going ahead?
Will a cold stop chemo?: Hello everyone. My first... - My Ovacome
Will a cold stop chemo?
I agree with Bobbylynn…a covid test will probably be needed, so the sooner you let your team know, using the chemo team number, the better. They might not rearrange but be prepared xx
I’ve done a lateral flow test that was negative because I don’t want to put anyone at any risk
I suggest you upload it to the nhs website but you should still call your team. If you wait until you are in front of a chemo nurse they are more likely to send you home. Best to let the oncologist decide, as I say, they may want to go ahead but you won’t know until you tell them…good luck!

I remember having a cold before chemo and they didn't seem concerned at all, so I'm guessing it will go ahead. I had covid tests two days before every chemo so as long as that is negative. Good luck with it 😘
l had a cold before one of my sessions they asked me how l was and l was ok do it went ahead. But eise to check for covid it is unfortunately still about. Your team will advise good luck and get well soon. Sending love & hugs xxx
