A return of the dreaded mongrel .......... ????? Part 2
Well, made contact with surgery ( I was 10th in the queue ) couldn't talk to anyone ( GP or Pharmacist ). Left a message and a return phone call a few hours later told me to take 2 blood pressure readings am and pm. for the next 7 days. Excellent stalling practice ! So, I've decided on a more aggressive

A quick update for those that remember my recent posts about the Ablation complications!
Ablation 16/3, artery got damaged, 3 outpatient appointments, 2 failed attempts at thrombin infusion under ultrasound, emergency 3 day admission to hospital with emergency pseudoaneurysm and arteriovenous fistula repair (pretty major surgery involving patching the damaged artery with cow veins) . Most

Hi, So initially in October I was diagnosed with what they suspect to be pernicious anaemia, I had a negative IF test but due to me having diabetes and no other factors which could indicate why I was so low in B12 they put it down to me having pernicious anaemia. I had 6 loading doses after which my

National Bill to End Parkinson's
Hello, I'll keep it short and sweet. 55 yr male. Diagnosed at 42 yr. Fitness fanatic, which has kept this damn disease at bay......for the most part. Just wondering what everyone thinks of this new Bill to End Parkinson's Act. Should we be excited, worried, indifferent? Is it gonna just be all talk and

PSA post Salvage Radiation
Prior post: My husband, at diagnosis had 3+4 on a couple of samples and chose to have surgery. He had clean margins and reached undetectable PSA after Prostatectomy. Near the end of 5th year after surgery his PSA became detectable. He did salvage radiation at .09 PSA. His PSA went down to .08 after

B12 prescription cancelled by pharmacist
Hello - I was diagnosed with B12 deficiency around 15 years ago. My GP at the time said that I had Pernicious Anaemia and was unable to absorb B12 from my food. Apart from a gap in 2016 when my then GP said that I had too much B12 in my system, withdrew the injections for a year which resulted in my

atrial fibrillation then high heart rate
I started in AF last week and after 5 days of AF I have now gone into a regular high heart rate for the past 2 days. Under the instruction of the arrhythmia nurse I have increased my bisoprolol but it doesn’t seem to helping much. I have an appointment on Wednesday to discuss treatment plan while I

overlap RA, medication?
I was Dx with overlap rheumatoid arthritis. I have had PBC for 15 years, controlled well by URSO. In terms of RA, rheumatologist says this really limits medications given so many of the standard RA medications can damage the liver. For now I am on steroids. Can anyone else in the PBC community speak

worrying heart rate through the night
I have started to wear my Fitbit to bed after my AF diagnosis but I am very worried that it says, while in AF all night, my heart beat ranges from39 to 169. I take Carvedilol 12.5mg and Apixaban 5mg twice a day. It has taken me ages to be brave enough to wear it at night but I’m thinking I might be
